STOP DOING THIS TO TANKS!

the single reason that tank meta is even more toxic than the current meta is due to the high damage tanks had.

tank are supposed to TANK damage, i have no problem in taking 15+ secs in killing somone unless this one kills me in 5 seconds. the things you're doing to sejuani and ornn are the opposite of what tanks are supposed to be, you're turning tanks to fighters and that's not cool.

tanks are supposed to have alot of cc, yet you're reducing the cc in favor of more damage, that's not how tanks are supposed to be. if you want a meta where the team with the most damage wins, it's fine. but be clear about it. don't buff tank's damage AND survivability while reducing cc.

in my opinion, the ideal tank is someone with enough cc to be presived as a threat, while being very hard to kill. AND AT THE SAME TIME not having such a high kill pressure. a champion with high survivability and high damage is a balance nightmare.

Yeah rito make tanks be able to take 5 ultimates and 3 entire rotations to the face before being able to die or come close to dying. Make tanks be completely team reliant and be easily abusable in laning phase.

A pvp tank doesn't work and will never work like a pve one. Both have completely different roles

thats flat out bullshit. not only do tanks work in pvp... they work IN LEAGUE, and season 3-5 ( i cant speak for 1 and 2 as i wasnt playing then) this was the case.

tank> burst > sustained > burst

that was the cycle

and it was balanced.

the problem was when riot threw that out the windows and make burst items and burst masteries, aka the season 6 keystones, and then they made it exponentially worse with "runes"

any damage champion will almost always beat any tank champion... but it should take at least 10-15 second to singlehandedly take that champion down.. if if your a mage... it should take 2-3 full rotations and 1 ultimate.

this was balanced by the fact the tank would lock you down and his team woudl kill you because of how long it takes to bring them down.

that was the cycle of league.

and sure there have ALWAYS been cases where. if a damage champ gets caught out with every single ability on cooldown and then find them selves engaged on by a tank ... and when they come OFF cooldown.. they the MISS their abilities... then yeah... a tank is going to kill you... but a tank killing you us going to also take about 10-15 seconds.

and even today that happens.

and of course if they tank is REALLY fed..a nd your not they and take u on in a 1v1

but in general unless u fuck up and get caught out with no abilities.. you don't lose to "tanks"... you lose because the tank caught u out and his team kills you.

I never said tanks didn't work in pvp. I said that a PVP tank will never work like a PVE one since their roles are entirely different. PVE tanks work by taking the aggro of every enemy mob around and forcing them to attack him, while his team does their best to keep him alive while killing the enemy mobs. Damage that a PVE tank does is irrelevant, just how long they can keep the enemy hitting him and not the rest of his party.

A PVP tank cannot do that, they focus on disruption and ways to ways to prevent the enemy from reaching their party without a giant middle finger on the enemy team saying "you cannot do anything for as long as I please". They accomplish this by having abilities that briefly disrupt the enemy actions and/or by providing some sort of defensive buff to nearby allies, all while being a consistent threat. Tanks need to deal damage in a pvp game regardless of what you think.

This is exactly what tanks need to start becoming. Leave tanky damage to the bruisers.

If you build glass cannon, you should expect to be very easy to kill as that is the sacrifice you made to go for a build that optimizes damage dealt.
