is it me or does everyone's team goes to shit when they are in promos?

Its not just you. Riot stacks Promo teams on both sides against you. They want to slow progression as much as possible.

Iv learned that in lower ELO is is better to dodge all promos (making you lose the promo) but making you climb easier.

This is because Dodging makes you lose only LP and Not MMR. Losing a match makes you lose MMR

Since Promos are stacked against you, you will lose them more often so lose MMR.

If you can get your MMR a lot higher then your Rank Riot will Skip Promos for you AND you will gain more LP and lose less LP in matches.

You still have to win games tho.

It's a well-known fact, and still on their official page they say that "matchmaking always tries to make fair teams".

anytime I play around 20-100 lp I get peeps either my rank G3 or up to plat 2 so I have decent games but during promos its always G4-B4? I'm sorry but I do not want to see a bronze player in my game regardless of if they are partied with a Silver (gives them the gateway to gold games) like why change the matchmaking at the last second.

You do understand that if a single person in the enemy team is also in promos your entire conspiracy theory goes out the window right?

i was in promos for gold even though it pre-seasson and ended up losing it to a troll syndra who would reset my camps and follow me around my jungle so i couldnt do anything

yeah, plat promos are like putting a gun to your head and hoping for the best. I think I have a better chance at winning the lottery these days than getting 4 other actual human beings. Imagine having 1500+ games per season and still being hard stuck p4 lolol

But if you are climbing at a fast pace, losing the promos wouldn't matter as you'd just be quickly back in them.

Its simple math: You promos normally happens at the end of a winning streak.

If you play a lot normally you get a LITTLE better with each game. But because of the nature of how the system works you climb in winning/losing streaks most of the time. That means the moment you peak your new rekord elo is usually at the end of a winning streak and about your skillcap. So the first few times you hit the Promos you are right at the point where u play against better players than you are and right at the start of a losing streak. But by getting better and better some day your promos will be right in the middle of your win streak and quite right for your skill.

For example I have the feeling Promos for Dia2 are very hard and my team is shit. But when I drop below D3, the D3 Promos are very easy. So it's me not my team.

seems more it’s just you or at least not for me regularly. The problem is more the weekends were all have time to play.

Played first time after months weekends and lost two divisions on one weekend after gaining 3 over the last 2 months

Not even sure how... but for my Gold II promos, I had good teams both times... and they carried me, I didn't do bad per say, but I wasn't extraordinary either... Not sure I'll ever understand that.

i won my gold promos, but it gets worse after that, tbh i think we need to forget about ranks and such, every tier has people who will feed and grief and just troll, just play your best, and whatever man.

We don't know the official statement on matchmaking.

But from playing this game for 5 years, i can tell there is something fishy going on when you have your promos, i think they pair you with people who are on losing streak or superbad, just to hold u down from climbing, or else everyone would be diamond, and there would be no incentive to play when you reach the top.

in my promos, i always get lower elo teammates when i inspect them on websites like OP.GG . while in my non promo games i get people who are same rank as me

I used to feel that way and get really upset and get tilted for a few loss streaks. Then I stopped giving a shit about them and play them like any other match.Magically they got easier.

Largely because stopped being a god dam idiot who changed his playstyle cuz OMG PROMO! Try harder pants time!
