Riven's "rework" got reverted because a some people decided that it wouldn't be good.
Morde's rework hasn't been reverted even though almost the entire community has said they wanted it to be reverted(or changed, at least).

The changes got reverted because it was a pretty big buff if you were an experienced Riven player. The changes never hit live so there wasn't anything to revert. Changes get canceled all the time on the PBE. Pointing at one specific example while ignoring all the other scrapped changes doesn't make sense

Slinkyb1 votesI am confused about how they feel its fair to give a champion shields, stuns, gap openers/closers, and inherent tankness, and high damage output, with little skill involved. Riven isn't the only one like this in the game either. Just doesn't make sense to me when it comes to balance and skill.
