I know this has been said before, but Yasuo is overloaded

AquariusGine··17 votes·1,507 views

He can go 0-5 in lane and still make a strong comeback. What other champion does that? Try dying 3 times on another assassin or mage and you'll be behind the whole game against a competent team.

Honestly, I think the windwall lasts a bit too long. Reducing it by 1 second would be enough of a nerf

Things wrong with Yasuo.

  1. he has 3 passives (shield, double crit, no mana)
  2. he's hyper mobile at no cost
  3. he not only gets free crit, he gets free arpen
  4. windwall is the most anti fun toxic ability in the game, your skills are rendered inconsequtial to the state of the game so long as the enemy yasuo isn't retarded
  5. he has no cooldowns
  6. his trading pattern is toxic to the game, it involves him gap closing into you quickly and forcing you into a stat check situation and if you didn't counter pick enjoy not playing league, the introduction of keystones like fervor which hugely cater to him has made this problem much more pronounced
  7. his hp regen is completely broken for a manaless champion that gets a constantly refreshing shield
  8. it takes no effort for him to CS, even under tower, or clear waves
  9. your options vs him really boil down to either pick someone that can outstat check him or just spend 20+ mins reacting to his plays, this isn't healthy design
  10. It's almost never mentioned, but the howling abyss snowball effect of his ult is just another thing tacked on that doesn't need to be there. Imagine if chogath could teleport to you from halfway across the lane if vi bumps into you and nom you right there. No set up, no prior positioning, just a press of the button and he's in his prime range to do maximum damage, because this mechanic has been tacked onto yasuo's ult. Other champions, if they wish to make use of their ults, have to land it themselves. Yasuo's been given the ability to have other people land it for him.

Riot could nerf any one of these and it wouldn't matter, the champion, to put it simply, is just the antithesis of fun. He turns every game he's in into a chore and he forces you to be constantly playing his game, where at no point is there a meaningful back and forth. Just yasuo doing his thing and you either have the numbers to make his constant stat checking useless and end the game with "x9 report yasuo" or you don't.

  1. Being manaless isn't a passive

2.its conditional

3.big surprise, an aa based champ has a steroid that boosts their damage

4.and so long as you aren't retarded, he lost his only real defense to a program me ability

5.please tell me the hidden secret of playing yas with no cd's

6.him attack if you isn't stat checking you, and keystones cater to pretty much all champs, not just yasuo

  1. Any yasuo main worth their salt would take having decent base stats over having good hp/5. Not to mention, he gets Dorans blade which means he's life stealing, which makes his regen seem higher than it is

8.it doesn't really take effort to cs in most champs, unless your autos take a billion years to land (anivia) this isn't really a point against him

  1. So what you are saying is that interactive gameplay isn't healthy. Do you main Nasus?

  2. Not like yasuo can only ult off displacements. Not like it has relatively low damage for an ult, or that it sticks you right in the enemy team stuck in an animation. Imagine if cho couldn't ult someone unless they were knocked up

  1. their playerbase, when they're not masturbating to a champion with the exact same low skill stat checking play pattern as wukong they're foaming at the mouth to tell you how much they love their waifu because it really isn't a full day till you've seen a yasuo player wet himself

Being manaless isn't a passive

The fact that riot believes this is reason number 84 on the great list of reasons for why league's balance is so bad

its conditional

Conditional on what, that creeps exist? What a condition. On the long list of great conditions, clearly having creeps in lane or creeps in the jungle must be number 1, right? Being yasuo is suffering.

big surprise, an aa based champ has a steroid that boosts their damage

What does this have to do with him being overloaded? Why are you using a? I clearly mention 2 "steroids", can yasuo players not count?

and so long as you aren't retarded, he lost his only real defense to a program me ability

This is just autistic barking really but I can sort of make out your point. My counter point is clearly being one of the most mobile champions in the game along with a constantly refreshing shield isn't enough to keep yasuo players alive, you really do need that extra safety helmet.

please tell me the hidden secret of playing yas with no cd's

Well you've played more games on yasuo this season than I have games played in general so if you still can't tell yasuo has no cooldowns I can't really magically give you IQ now can I

him attack if you isn't stat checking you, and keystones cater to pretty much all champs, not just yasuo

It's the precise definition of stat checking, unavoidable (because he can dash to and from you through every single wave at no cost at no cooldown) damage being constantly applied (where the yasuo proceeds to stat check you with either a knock up run like wukong, except wukong can't even knock up, or just keep stat checking like a wukong would because those are his only options as a glorified stat check, or as yasuo players have termed it UHHH UHHHH MY RPM UGGGGGHHHHH, and if you're playing a counterpick congratulations you just unlocked the "report yasuo for inting" achievement for the 8000th time. The entire reason yasuo players run pure attack speed is so they can stat check you more, and the introduction of nonsense like fervor only favors this low skill playstyle. Fervor was even nerfed for the majority of it's users (on hit) this season but yasuo was specifically spared (because he can crit the new stacks). Warlords originally only worked on crits, it was actually designed as the yasuo and tryndamere only keystone, and guess what, no one plays tryndamere.

Any yasuo main worth their salt would take having decent base stats over having good hp/5. Not to mention, he gets Dorans blade which means he's life stealing, which makes his regen seem higher than it is

So you agree, yasuo's sustain is completely broken. I have no idea where this "omg my base stats are so small, so small only 4 inches" meme comes from but yasuo players really do love it don't they. We are living in the post fact world if you say it enough times I guess it's really no different from a fact.

it doesn't really take effort to cs in most champs, unless your autos take a billion years to land (anivia) this isn't really a point against him

How would you know, really.

So what you are saying is that interactive gameplay isn't healthy. Do you main Nasus?

Is this that legendary yasuo player wit? Truly a marvel.

Not like yasuo can only ult off displacements. Not like it has relatively low damage for an ult, or that it sticks you right in the enemy team stuck in an animation.

Yeah I too can't believe champions have to land their ults to ult, mind blowing. I really can't believe it, yasuo players already have to deal with being wukong if wukong had real tools and now you're telling me they can't just have someone land their ults for them 100% of the time too? I mean how am I suppose to spam my manaless poke constantly to fish for a knock up, or just dash in through any wave and just apply a stat check knock up like I do nearly constantly because I have no cooldowns and that's the entire play pattern of the champion while I'm editing my montage? Being yasuo is suffering.

Imagine if cho couldn't ult someone unless they were knocked up

What a nightmare that would be

I don't understand what Riot is going for with this champion though.

They make april fools day jokes

I don't understand what Riot is going for with this champion though. I think I'm fine with his mobility IF that crazy shield or windwall is nerfed a little. With that mobility and that shield/dashing around, he becomes this obnoxious monster in laning phase.

I know he has counters on top/mid lanes... but the problem is he's good against 90% of the champs in league so that even if u manage to control him in your lane... he can visit the other lanes and most likely destroy your teammates. And is one of few champions that can potentially 1v5 and change outcomes of fights. He's potentially an Yi with not that much early weakness.

It brings a peace of mind to simply ban him to prevent the above scenario from happening.

Just look at his ban rate. Yeah rite- nothing is wrong with that 53% ban-rate... He's just been released so everyone is banning him like Galio's rework. It'll settle down. = Haha Problem is he's not a new released champion. There's a problem with champions with high ban rates - specifically him and Katarina.

Riot being the hypocrites they are. Refusing to answer to facts and statistics staring at their faces.

Wait a second. Your title says Yasuo is overloaded, then you complain about how he is able to make a strong comeback. Then you say nerf his windwall?

You point one issue, you talk about another one, and then you suggest something that wouldn't fix neither issue mentioned. WTF?

Ehh?

3TWarrior1 votes

basically, it's a pointless endeavour as countless threads have pointed out previously as every part of yasuo's kit makes or breaks him

the shield in lane phase...take it away and suddenly every champion there is can scrap his health bar

change his E dash...and he has to receive compensation because what it provides in utility would then have to be replaced with power in some form

really, the most healthy change would be to change his wind wall...it makes 70% plus of all skillshots irrelevant and yet that windwall is one of the core concepts of his founding identity

change his Q and well...then he has no ultimate

GULAG 4 U1 votes

Yeah, because Yasuo's kit was designed to work together with each other. It's not really like Aatrox, where using your skills lowers you dps. Oh and Windwall doesn't make skillshots irrelevant. There's something known as 'walking around' and 'abuse a 24 seconds downtime'

3TWarrior1 votes

what i'm saying is that this is just a complaint thread as there has been no official response from riot addressing some of the most annoying issues in the game. Most complaint threads are to keep the ideas in the rioter's heads and to provide new evidence in the "hope" that a red will respond either in the thread or elsewhere.

thus, I say it is pointless as unless we can see results of significant investment, no change to his kit will be healthy and overall would only make a frustrating champion less frustrating by killing his win rate. The players against yasuo would be partially okay with this, but it's not even his win rate that is frustrating but just how his kit itself functions

then, when his win rate suffers, he is no longer an appealing champion to the large playerbase that does play him.

GULAG 4 U1 votes

I see, Riot doesn't respond to most Yasuo complaint threads because the complaints in the very first place aren't legitmate.

Spicy Rice1 votes

Umm bro, he was agreeing with you.

3T was commenting on how every part of yasuo's kit is integral to him functioning

GULAG 4 U1 votes

Okay I'm retarded. Thanks for pointing out.

Troll for Trump1 votes

His entire kit is extremely fluid; if you nerf one thing without compensation buffs or some sort, it can make or break him.

The one "independent part of his kit" would be his W, and, to a lesser extent, his passive shield.

GULAG 4 U1 votes

The whole point of a kit is to be fluid. If it wasn't then you'd be slapping shit together for fuck's sake.

Troll for Trump1 votes

There's fluid like Talon's W proccing his passive twice, or Darius's W being an aa reset to help reach his passive steroid.

Then there's yasuo, where his ult completely depends on a knockup, his E and Q having some gimmick together, and his R and passive having crit chance interaction.

What other champion does that?

literally any champion that spikes mid or late game

3TWarrior1 votes

Swain : hello! (though they did make it practically imbalanceable by making it where he can harm the entire enemy team at the same time )

He can go 0-5 in lane and still make a strong comeback. What other champion does that?

Literally every late-game champion.

3TWarrior1 votes

I would say the real issue with annoying champions is not that they are annoying...but that any champion that can beat them gets nerfed into the ground

yasuo and everyone else OP from warlords on its release, hey, let's nerf Swain who had an inflated winrate because squishy close range carries are his favorite snack XD

AquariusGine1 votes

Personally, the only thing that would leave me content would be a 1second nerf to wind wall's duration, I'm not gonna ask for more

Jax can feed in lane and comeback, I do it all the time.
