I take issue with the fact that he is by far the easiest champion in game with basically no skill requirement, yet he can easily destroy most laners and can stack kills like nothing. His true damage is beyond reason, his whole build is almost pure tank, but him doing massive damage as he does really is a pain. I think his damage needs to be decreased. For such a low skill champion to have such a high ceiling for damage doesn't seem reasonable in any form.

Yes I do, he has no mechanics, he has no skill requirements, he just charges in silences you, spins until you are low and ults you. Absolutely absurd that he can produce such a high level of damage and be so game changing when he requires no skill to use.

Your adc won't be in lane with you. and chances are he would build 
and charge in to easily squish the adc anyways.

He doens't have a high winrate because high elo players only use cc champions because there is no good way to stop cc in game. You have two items to counter it, merc treads, which truthfully are useless for cc as 30% tenacity is nothing, and the scimitar, whose active has a longer cd than most stun spells making it useless against a team of cc champions. WHy isn't Yasuo used in high elo? because all close range champions can't get passed cc.

I don't know where you have been for the last few seasons, but this game is now all about damage and who can do the most. Garen being able to sustain long enough to cause a ton of damage is absurd.

Higher elo is only about cc champions, it doesn't matter if the champion is strong or not, because all games are now won by cc.

youre playing around silver 4, so these games entirely irrelevant to riots concern when it comes to overall game balance. you can destroy people with urgot and aatrox around that mmr.
plus, destroying people is kindof what garen was made for. juggernauts are carries. so if you managed to carry on him, congratulations i guess.
overall power wise hes objectively in a decent spot right now at least into diamond.

They can't just focus around the elo you're at because that alienates other players. I'm not ranked, I have trouble with Garen, as do others, so they should pay attention to problems, such as the new armor shred giving him much higher damage. He already deals a ton of true damage, they could have just buffed his abilities in other ways than armor shred. Just an example.

Ralanr1 votesGaren's is (imo) allowed to have his damage like that because of his simplicity. He's basically your big dumb fighter in D&D. Not very flashy and too straightforward to be used creatively, but actually get in a fight with them and you'll remember why they are called Fighters.
This is better explained in 5e where Fighter is actually decent and can pump some good numbers at 20 with their 4 attacks per combat (potentially 8 with action surge).
