I haven't played Ahri in a while

So it was a rather unpleasant surprise when I found the damage amp from her Charm gone. What was even more unpleasant was the ms boost when I Q. Why do I find this unpleasant? You basically reduced her damage just to add mobility for her to travel | | distance. Literally that's the space she can cover with the ms bonus. If you were going to take a chunk of her damage off, the least you could have done given better compensation buffs. She's already quite mobile, why add more?(not that what you added makes a difference)

Are you seriously asking for Ahri buffs?

I think you missed the point entirely. I'm just saying what's the point of the ms boost if I literally only get to move the space between two minions with it. They could have just nerfed the damage amp bonus on E(make it like Swain's who has to level the ability up to increase the amp effect), and it would have been all fine and dandy.

Ever since they COMPLETELY removed her AMP damage and replaced MS while buffing her E and W damage, Ahri's winrate went up to 57% winrate above ALL the other champs , right at patch 5.3 she immediately got nerfs on her W range, Mana cost added to her Q, and essence bolt nerf to her Spirit Rush, but yet remains one of the highest picked/winrate Mid laner champs

Those aren't the only changes they made to her though; you missed a lot of them.

Check patches 5.2 (where they removed the damage amplification) and 5.3 (follow-up changes). She received buffs in other areas and significant QoL improvements and bug-fixes.

Considering that she jumped to top-pick immediately after the changes and appears to be approaching it again, she's doing quite well for herself.

Yeah I missed out on like 6 months of playing and like I said I hadn't played her in a while, so I'm only now seeing these changes.

How though? It's only recently that I started seeing these "Ahri so OP" threads and decided to just see what all the hype is about. The "ghost" effect that people are complaining about really isn't that great and she has a bit more damage to her W and E. This is no way mitigates the the potential of champions that could counter her. Annie Can still blow her up with ease and if you can't land Tibbers then you have Q for a reason. Akali can kill her off with ease as well, because she's not going anywhere due to Shadow Dance. Leblanc This is a bit of a toss up, but LeBlanc can delete her before she gets to do anything. Zed While a little less reliable due to the nerf to his R, he just needs QSS for that charm. Diana She can flat out brawl with anyone. Ryze If he can survive the first charm combo, he can just perma-snare her to death. Xerath Nuff said. Viktor Blow up. Hell even opposing Ahris. So why the sudden outcry that she's ridiculous to lane against? She has weaknesses, just not easy to exploit, so why don't people use them?

She's ridiculous to lane against because she's completely safe. As long as she doesn't spam everything to shove the wave and at least stands at the middle mark of the lane it's almost impossible to go in on her or gank her. Every other mage has extremely low mobility compared to her thus making her very low risk and high reward.

Annie sure Akali shes in garbage tier Leblanc Garbage tier Zed Currently one of the most underpowered assassins, and Ahri counters him zed... Diana sure Xerath Ahri easily counters xerath......................... Viktor meh

And Riot added in a mobility buff to her Q is because of the "DFG removal" which they seriously believe.... Ahri would be underpowered from it, which no way in hell was she after playing her for a long time and while I barely ever use DFG because of how broken her E W Q combo are ever since the patch 4.12 she received. And then after that when DFG was removed riot balance team was on meth and decide to break her even more, and there was always an uproar ever since people before the patch 5.2 buff she received, and there were always people complaining about her in game and on General Discussion boards. But still today she has been picked in LCS frequently, and abused in the SoloQ everyday ever since the Luden Echos release.

She has good sustain in lane, while hard to gank, with true damage, wave clear, on jsut her Q, she does not need to be reliant on her charm anymore, pretty much its just a bonus for her. And she does not need to fully use all her combos to 100-0 a person anymore when W and R are enough to finish off one person, once she gets ludens echo. Low Risk and High reward
