Replace Treeline with Nexus Blitz

Yes some of the events were way over the top and it would need some balance changes but having a game mode you know will end before 20 minutes that is somewhat similar to SR was not the worst idea.

If a game was going badly it would be over before 20 minutes basically always. It was actually decent for working on learning a new champ because it had enough similarities to SR with less of a time commitment should things be going bad so you can start fresh instead of spending 25 minutes jsut trying not to feed.

I can't remember the last time I played on treeline and most people seem to stick to SR and/or ARAM. Nexus blitz was kinda a middle ground between the 2 having the faster ARAM pace, while having more of a SR style map where you can pick your champ but still being 5v5 where a meta was starting to form but nothing seemed to be completely useless.

If looking for "fun" game modes Nexus blitz beats out treeline hands down. It did not come across as a serous game mode but it did have enough of a skill factor to make it feel worth trying to win and if you lost you could blame it on bad events for your team comp.

And yes I would likely replace most my solo ARAM play with Nexus blitz given that it kinda felt like season 2 league but sped up. #BringBackFON

As much as I liked Blitz, HELL NO. I will always play 3s, and it has a bigger player base than you think that's why it's still around.

The simple answer is why not both? And why not start actually balancing all of the game modes? Sure it'll take up time and resources but so what? Riot has been getting a LOT of negative press recently and it's really not hard to see why and actually working for more ways to let players enjoy their game would really help alleviate some of that. The short answer however is no - Riot only cares about money and so they only focus on their main game mode and do the bare minimum to make that functional (the fact death recap still doesn't work properly is proof of this)

because they saw players in NB drop off either once the event was over or once they finished their missions

they had no real reason to play the mode anymore, they might go in from time to time for some fun but otherwise they went back to SR

No thanks. Nexus Blitz is somehow even more binary than TT in terms of balance.

Hell, the mode could be fun even without the events.

I kinda liked the events though. And so long as it was not ranked I would be totally fine with it having them within reason.

the events made the game mode worthwhile

as soon as the event ended they saw players drop off NB and move back to SR

Likely due to burn out. And this is about things like the scuttle race and battle royale not the event to get boarders and skins.

Exactly! Having strict missions to complete, as well as the pseudo random nature of the game mode meant that I literally had to play hundreds of games of it to finally manage to complete them. I was extremely burnt out of League in general by the end, but it was easily the most fun I've ever had in League
