Your points are crossing the conclusions of what Azrael's saying (and I value his opinion about morde more than yours for various reasons)
You're not happy with his W, I don't think it's because it's too strong assuming you're in for buffing morde, yet Azrael is claiming that the W is one of the less balanced tools on his kit right now.
Besides, you want higher base stats on him so he won't be such an easy handling target, yet the mobility you complain about is the most exploitable on team fights, and not in Laning phase (don't even try saying that against ranged champions it is, because it is literally how it should be - ranged champion should bully melee champion in lane, it's one of the whole ideas of melee and ranged stats), except the fact that much more crucial things that come into consideration into whether to gank a lane or not is first and foremost how you act in lane (I would never gank anyone who are near their turret in early levels - which are the weakest points of mordekaiser due to his low base stats and the fact that his damaging abilities get ridiculously stronger the later the game it is), and another thing that comes into my mind before gainking is kill potential, which is totally screwed by the fact that when ganked, mordekaiser has a high chance to land his E on 2 targets and recover 30% of his shield (when e is just level 1 - and people are maxing his E first under some circumstances), leave the fact that his w heals him. So yea you're asking for higher base stats to make him not as much as an appealing target to ganking but in fact he has a lot of tools to survive a gank that champions with escapes (like zed or ezreal) that anyways can be predicted and countered, don't have.
And we're still not finished, getting ganked has to do a lot with your play style as I mentioned, if you're constantly pushing and you're someone like morde Ofc you'll get ganked, and you should take that into consideration and perhaps not play as aggressive or whatever in lane, knowing that your champion has no escapes, in order to prevent that ganks incoming. That is called knowing your champions strengths and weaknesses, being able to understand what they truly mean and change your play style according to them, in order to perform the best on your champion.

PS, you don't need to have 124 ranked games on morde throughout 6 years to know that.
