What is the least skilled tier and division? Bronze or Silver?

Vigilente··1 votes·644 views

I am always hearing things like bronze doesnt ward, they dont get objectives, and they dont last hit and farm. I dont get it, bronze does all of this stuff. I am in bronze 4 and the players here usually beat my silver 5 friend. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most people dropped down in rank at the start of season 6 so the silver players are really in bronze. So where did the bronze players go? What Im really trying to ask is where is this low elo place where no one farms or wards cause it doesnt seem like its bronze 5 or 4. Is it low silver or maybe mid bronze?

Bronze obviously, it's below silver.

Not necessarily, they are different but surprisingly i have noticed some skills that bronze have that silvers don't.

rank doesn't mean anything(not all the time), i have friends that never play rank, and they all play like gold player,so..

Well rank has some view of your skill does it not?

Silver & gold both suffer from players that are placed into it, (or elo boosted, same with plat) with minimal experience/skill where it can be argued they don't belong there. There's people who aren't half decent in silver but more of them exist in bronze, silver&bronze are a high majority of league's ranked population so there's going to be quite a bit of variance in skill and consistency

Everyone can do the basics but what determines skill and game knowledge is when you can properly time basics and decisions.

bronze

but low elo is kind of mixed up, i've seen bronze players who would hold their own in gold and gold players who play like monkeys

ranked can be a bit of a grind

I was plat in s3 and s4, stopped around plat 5 because I said "fk it not grinding diamond"

In S4 I was placed into silver and it took me maybe 300 games to get back to plat, this season I was placed into g4 and was demoted to silver

Maybe because of that gap of not playing after the belief you couldn't get to diamond.

I get the impression that a lot of bronze players understand why they're bronze, and so while it may be taking a while, they are trying to learn. Of course there are a lot of people who don't get it, which is where the hilarity comes from. I'd pay RP for an unlocked account in bronze 5.

Whereas everybody thinks they're platinum material in high silver so the throws are as jawdropping as they are unrelenting. Silver's motto is "this stupid thing I just did got me killed, so I'm going to do it 12 more times".

I'm starting to wonder why I even bother; ranked isn't fun and the "reward" (a skin for a champ you don't give a shit about) is getting less and less enticing.

Ranked is fun because its the more competitive side of Lol. You would not be writing this post if you did not like lol.

No, Bronzies on average do not have map awareness, get objectives, or last hit.

Using you as an example here, you've only gotten 7 cs a minute in 2 out of your last 20 games, never more. Your one jungle game was below 5 cs minute too. So while you are clearly capable of getting a good amount of cs, most of the time you just don't prioritize it or fail.

The only difference between a Bronze and a Silver player is that the Silver player has picked something easy and does it consistently, whereas the Bronze player just says "But I'm already good at that".

Thanks. Is 7cs a minute good for my average? Can u give me a chart or a list of what should be the average csing for each rank?

7-8 for AD champions 6-7 for AP champions 4-6 for junglers

o this is nice, I generally forget to cs late game

Vigilente1 votes

I usually get 70 cs in 10 minutes. That is supposed to be better than average for bronze players. The only thing is I don't cs any more after the mid game!

The ranks are normalised in each new ranked season, not reduced. That means that they go closer to the "centrepoint" - platinum players go down, bronze players go up.

I don't know what the exact centrepoint is now. It used to be 1200 ELO in the old ranked system, which I think would place it in high silver, but I'm not quite sure.

Vigilente1 votes

Wait does this mean the centrepoint is the place of the least skilled or most skilled?

Aren't they basically the same?

bronze 2- silver 4 are basically the same skillcap but the only difference is the silver 4s got lucky or carried their way out with brute force. other than that they share the same game knowledge. i just played on a bronze 1 smurf and no one on my team wanted to play the game. me 1v5ing sure brightened my day as my malphite support sat in the back complaining abuot hwo i was dying too much when i was trying to take turrets and he was 1-0 in the back ulting no one but the grass.
