Just a thought about the vision problem

I really don't think it's a problem; it just encourages safe play instead of risky play. That can be good or bad depending on your perspective, but I actually do like the removal of wards from the shop as it lessens the gap between high skill and low skill players. As such, I'd like to submit an alternative to reintroducing green wards should this play be considered unhealthy for the game:

Just change the terrain.

No vision never really bothered me because I played TF2 long before League. There is no way to obtain vision of what would be the equivalent of the FoW without physically being there. This may seem strange since TF2 is a fps and League is a moba, but the thought process of pressuring an objective remains very similar in both games. But the relevant caveat is that in TF2, there are significantly fewer avenues to travel through. There are 8 ways to get to midlane's center. I can't think of a section of any map in TF2 where the equivalent is the case without the map being a complete clusterfuck.

I think it would be worth looking into simply closing off or moving certain paths through the jungle as well as perhaps retiring or moving brush sections. One example would be to close off the small paths on the outside of midlane river while shifting the path to wolves significantly closer to the outer midlane tower. That specific example may or may not be a good gameplay change, but the effects on playstyle are immediately apparent: warding midlane is significantly less necessary as it is safer to be in midlane than before.

The advantage of terrain change over adding green wards is that with less avenues to work with, Riot can more easily modulate gank/escape paths to be less treacherous or more treacherous without as much worry about how that would affect other paths around it.

And while I don't like change for the sake of change, Riot has done very little change to the terrain over the years. That suggests to me that they feel SR is pretty much perfect the way it is. I'm disinclined to believe that. Instead, I think they're needlessly restricting how many levers they have when considering balance options, especially for systematic things like vision instead of mundane champion balance.

I think vision was 1 thing they didnt need to do much with.. especially not to the level of change that they did.

tbh, I'd like it if Riot would do away with sightstone and pinks completely, leaving everything about the vision game in the trinkets.

Id support that only and onlyyyy if they brought back green wards and the pink ward trinket.
