The Malz changes seemed like a Zac-level overbuff, are these nerfs enough (or is it even a nerf) ?

Idk cause Im thinking 0.05 AP ratio is irrelevant and 0/25/50 base damage isnt that big for an ult. Plus he maxes Q second so for the most part its gonna be the same, 20 base damage at max rank isnt that big either.

Meanwhile you are basically forced to get a QSS against him so that change seems pretty big?

it isn't but you will get downvoted anyway cause it's not Ahri or some circlejerk champ

You've always needed a qss, him being changed never changed that

Yeah but now his ult keeps doing damage if you qss it, so..

It used to be this way before the rework, they are just fixing the fact it wasn't working that way after they gave the beam damage again.

Its still a big change considering how he is already at like 54.5% win rate mid lane.

He's basically a point and click champion, his winrate will always be on the high side. If it doesn't fall after slight damage nerfs I'd look at his w cooldown for a nerf.

He was always in the top 5-7 in mid lane before he was reworked

Same as other immobile mages.

Immobility compensated by powerful spells

Are you actually complaining about this shadow of Malzahar?

Old Voidlings

Summoned every 4 spells 250-1100 HP 25-110 AD (+100% Bonus AD) (Bonus Armor Pen & Physical Damage Effects Apply) After 7 Seconds -> +50% AD & Armor After 7 More Seconds -> +100% Attack Speed Could tank towers 2-3 hits or 3-5 hits evolved once Could kill towers (AD Malz could push a tower near instantly with 2-3 Voidlings) (Provided AP Malzahar with tower killing passive via final evolution AA) Could tank dragon and even AP Malz could kill Dragon early game if uninterrupted. Provided a lot of early game damage (Bouncing E on enemies Via Q backline when Voidlings were about to frenzy) Leash range let you choose to save your friend from giving gold to the enemy laner.

New Voidlings Spawned via W (Up to 3 at once depending on held spell charges) 65-201 HP 5-64.5 Magic Damage (+12/14/16/18/20) (+40% Bonus AD) (+20% AP) [Malzahar no longer a hybrid damage mage] One hit by towers One hit by AOE One hit by Champions 300% to minions [Because E wasn't enough and Voidlings needed a purpose /sarcasm] Can kill dragon but only by having Malzahar tank the damage so Voidlings don't die... Making Malz vulnerable. No longer receives movement speed bonuses No longer has leash ranges... aka expendable use and forget minions

Only merits are "unmitigated" magic damage on towers (Your AA only use a % of your AP) and minion wave push

Not much to say really.
