Hey guys, may I remind you that AP assassins also exist and ranged AD champions that outscale most AP champs or even bruisers can also go mid lane and/or buy Hexdrinker? ^^
Just a thought, its not like Lucian and Corki have been some of the strongest mid laners last season anyway! :D

corki is not really an AD champion, 75% of his damage is magic
Lucian and corki aren't even good midlaners, only in pro play because they're so team reliant.
AP assassins just need a whole rework.

generally ap champions have lost so much ap over the past season. Most mages are glorified supports. and the best mage is a champion played for his cc.
Dont bother man. Just dont. Riot acts way WAY to slow when it come to changes.
If only there was a solid way to limit that kind of itemization to close-ranged AP champions, but also able to bar AP-utilizing tanks. Riot has stated in the past the reason why they're so dodgy on giving AP champs more AP+Armor itemization is because they know that either longer-ranged classes will abuse them or AP-scaling tanks will abuse them. Finding the adequate sweet spot (availability being limited to close-ranged AP carries) is rather difficult as a result, especially given you can't simply place an "AP battle mages and assassins only" sticker on the item.
Many of us have tried to get them to add Moonflair Spellblade to Summoner's Rift as another option, but the aforementioned reason was the primary inhibitor behind barring the item from Sumoner's Rift.
