Stop these silly posts. It was experimental, and not even supposed to be released. Obviously that won't enter the game.

So much ado about nothing.

never supposed to be released is fine. the fact that it even was a suggestion by someone is beyond me. rageblade is a cool item that needs a rework. this is NOT the way to do it or even remotely up this alley. can you imagine this combined with a sated jungler? it would stack twice as fast on a sated jungler.

Lol you're worried about Jax Kayle?

I would be more worried about the Karthus that intentionally lets his lane push to the inhibitor so he can autoattack siege minions for 5 minutes then press R.

Caytheles1 votes

Or... Karthus can hit lvl 6 and just sit at fountain spamming Q until he feels the weather is just right, then press R XD

True I forgot that it said on spell cast XD You can't win a single teamfight unless everyone buys item 3157

Rueian1 votes

How long is the R channel?

Less than 8 seconds lol

The way it looks is that the stacks will go away individually. 1 stack only will last for 8 seconds. At max attack speed that is 20 stacks. This means that you will get 80 ap at the maximum.

Bârd2 votes

no.

The attack speed would cap.

The AP would keep going.

And so karthus sits in base, spamming Q to gain 240 ap per minute huehuehue

Bemapon1 votes

1 stack only will last for 8 seconds.

If it were to be that way, the highest ap you can get from just attacking is 80.

Bârd1 votes

Ummmm, no.

Gaining a stack of something will refresh all other stacks of the same effect.

That is the way Rageblade works now (Though its stacks are finite), it is how Jinx Q works, it is how Orianna/WW passive works.

That is indeed how this version of Rageblade was intended to function. Goal there was to explore a version of it where your ability to keep stacks up, not just build them in the first place, was a bigger part of the item. Experimentation into a version of Rageblade that synergized with other attack speed items effectively.

As Riot Axes mentioned in another thread though this change going onto PBE was unintended, this is an early internal test change, not something close to public release.

I think the concept is interesting, and has some choice champions that would make it good. (could open up skarner to a stronger AP build again)

any word on the general direction they've changed from here on out then? or is it still too soon to say anything?

Too early. This is very much still at the 'Rageblade's underwhelming, let's investigate some possibilities' stage rather than the 'we'll committed to making Rageblade changes, we understand the direction and now we just need to sort out some details' stage.

What abou that cool thing about Gunblade you guys were thnking about when you made the AP pass?

Alright, thank you! This just seemed rather insane.

If it's ok I think it would it would be cool if rage blade added stacking sustain to go with its under 50% health passive. Or maybe instead of. But spellvamp and lifesteal that ramps up the more stacks you get

well....i don´t think that sort of concept is healthy. It´s always gonna end up as a "win-more" condition (either you stack and stack and stack or you get shut immediatly and that´s it). Just like when devourer scaled to infinity. That sort of concpets would be alright if the game only would consist of professional 5v5, but as most of it is rather chaotic SoloQesc environments - you just can´t have "weakish if focused/forced early on" as a tradeoff for insane power if not stopped. Because most of the times the coordination needed to abuse the weakness is just not there, while the execution needed to abuse the power of that trade is just really easy to pull of.

Edit: my idea for rageblade - give it an active that trades the stacks for 0,5sec of AS-cap per stack and a jump with 100range per stack to the target...just letting out all the rage. And maybe add an upgrade for lategame, the main reason on-hit/hybrid builds aren´t all that popular is that the slot efficiency on most champs is really bad and it´s just a snowball-thing.

With only AA, yes. But don't forget spell casts and potentially AA resets. You can go a little bit higher, like 22 or 23.

Lampsundae1 votes

Holy god damn, just build this, one or 2 rods of ages, and an athenes on singed and you're good.

Rueian1 votes

That would be the god of jungle items. Can Skarner become a lawnmower again?

Maybe if the timer was like 4-5 seconds. And realize the only thing that can infinitely stack is AP, the attack speed caps at 2.5 per second no matter what.
