Ekko's Ult Is nothing like how he was pictured in Seconds! Petition to Change Ekko's Ult.

Gypsylord please.

I like Ekko. He is ont of my favorite characters in League. Seconds Gave off a rather good impression on me for this Character. Rewinding time is like one of the Coolest aspects added To LoL.

However, Ekko's ult in game is nothing like what was shown in Seconds. It is nothing more than a mere teleport. Should his ult actually rewind time like it was shown? I did read about the previous ults that was tried on Ekko. Such as the one where the whole SR rewinded back 4 secs. I understand that would affect other players. But, Let me offer a new alternative to Ekko's ult.

Even now people still complain about Ekko's tele/heal/Escape/Nuke. Instead of having a tele or nuke, how about a ult that rewinds anyone near him in a 1500-2000 range around him self back to where they were 4 seconds ago? The range could be a little shorter but it would make more since for Ekko's having something close to what I am suggesting. Say there was a fight near dragon, Ekko phase dives to the near scuttle scrab only to find out he is about to get 3v1'd. Ekoo fights as much as he could, but sensing he was going to lose he ults, rewinding everyone with in range back to where they were 4 seconds ago. Just like it was in the Video and Comic:Chronobreak.

In Secconds, He rewinded time and the Zaunite thug was also rewinded. Listen I know how you guys talked about splitting lore and game play, but As an Ekko main, I feel like I should speak up for this. I play him alot and even have Lv5 with em. I don't view it as overpowered at all. People complained about Ekko's teleporting and nuking the team, this seems liek a much more reasonable alternative.

Please reconsider this. I know I speaking from my mind here, but I'm sure alot of other players would agree.

Edit: And I guess people disagreeing and Downvoting are even going to catch a Ritoer's attention ;(

There might be some interactions that would be too potent/gamebreaking, biggest question that comes to mind is how would this interact with cooldowns? The idea seems cool and fun and fits his flavor perfectly but this ult seems a hell of a lot more frustrating to play against/with than his current iteration. Also how would this work with deaths? Like a Zil ult? As if nothing ever happened? Or would they just remain dead? Also completely assuming that if it just kind of reset the fight, that it would put his ult on CD at least.

I'd figure..who ever died in that timespan, would remain dead. That would only be fair. And I see that Ekko's ult max CD is 40 secs. It could be increased by 10 with this one. And champion ult's are always frustrating to play aginst. Take a look at Swain or bard.

This idea is so damn stupid i honestly can't think of a way to explain it

I mean, the idea is extremely cool (a 1000ish radius full rewind), but it has implications on Ekko's state in the game.

It'd be so much utility that they'd have to remove a bunch of his damage, and as an assassin, once he loses enough damage, he's irrelevant. He'd have to become a full-on tank. Which wouldn't work with the rest of his kit. So this'd be a bit more than just an ult change. It might completely ruin him, despite being such a cool ability.

Keep that in mind :P

Sadly, go to pro builds and see how he's being built... Last I checked 37/40 games he was in the jungle as a full on tank. Now I'm not saying that you can't play this game how you want or that Ekko as an assassin doesn't work, all that I'm saying is that with the nerfs that his damage has received, the pros are leaning on his utility to make him viable, thankfully enough he has enough of that to still see a lot of play. (Expect a hit to his utility though, hopefully he gains damage in return though, preferably on his scalings and not base.)

His recent nerfs makes peopel buy Mana and ROAs now. And I've seen spem tank ekko's too. Idk if they're trying to keep him an assassin or fighter.

If you want it like in the video, which is how I actually imagined it working ingame (leading to disappointment when Ekko came out), it would still be different from what you said.

In the cinematics you see him mark a moment -- a moment to go back to.

How did I imagined it working in game?

When you first press R you mark that moment initiating a timer of 6s -- in those 6s you'll have a new ability.

A new activable ability replaces your ultimate and starts off already in a cooldown of also 6s. This activable allows you to return to the previouly marked moment, but to use it -- since it's on cooldown of 6s when available -- you have to AA and/or cast abilities.

Each auto-attack, and/or ability cast, lowers the CD of this activable by 1s.

Allowing to go back 2-3 times max after activating ultimate -- if you manage to do "the plays". Each return would only restore a portion of health, and each return has a high mana cost (simulating the mental strain and pain that you see him suffer in the video).

This would take better decision-making and play-making ability as opposed to pressing R when shit hits the fan.

The idea is that he's rewinding time for himself while still suffering some of the damage sustained before he rewinded time, the only thing truly disappointing is that his ult, outside of dealing damage to enemies, doesn't affect anyone else, friendly or foe and with the hype behind him and trying to turn back time to save his friend and turning back time to reset a fight, it let a lot of people down.

Thinking about it constructively, even before he was released I assumed they wouldn't be able to give him a complete undo button.

Then they should have never previewed it that way. Thisw is why i am begining to hate riot when they make champions. The shwo us one thing, but its completely different in game. Tahm Kench, we we knew he could teleport someone....and eat them.....but he makes deals? I expected one skill to be "Make a deal with someone" Esque. Something like Kalista's....nope

I do agree that Ekko's ult is shit. Stupid dives, wether you do good or bad doesn't matter. You can just hit your dingdong on the keyboard to get to safety

Last 2 standing with just Ekko Jinx , Jinx QUADRA KILL!!!

Jinx : YAY PENTAA!!! Ekko : nope hits R, literally revived everyone Jinx : ......wow, and now I have to do everything all over again.

After a harsh teamfight after 6 total failures, finally has the chance to ace enemy team

Jinx : FINALLY, ALMOST THE AC- Ekko : Oh shit! ULT!!!! hits R just to dodge a Lee Sin Q, everyone revived Jinx : Report Ekko trolling

No....I suggest the fact that whoever died b4 ekko ults...stays dead...

He technically rewinds time for himself, he rewinds his personal time to wherever he was 4 seconds ago, and heals back some of his missing HP. (Representing rewinding his physical state back to before the events took place.) Really the only thing it doesnt do, is rewind other people, which for a lot of reasons would be pretty broken.

Eh, I think the Ult pretty accurately represents how it worked in the video without affecting the enemy which would be such heavy disengage in a lot of situations it would put Jana's ult to massive shame(think sending a ghosted Hecarim charge back 4 or even 3 seconds). In addition, it does basically what Zillean's Ult does for turning back time. If they were to make it any more like the video they'd have to remove all the damage from the return because he didn't do damage to the machine when he rewound. They might be able to get away with a large radius player return if it only accounted for like .1 sec at max level (That can still displace people a good amount) and removed both the damage and some of the heal. He wouldn't be half the nuke he is now, but it would be more accurate to depiction if that's all you're looking for.

Ekko is still in a very good state, regardless of recent nerfs. The fact is that he has too much utility in addition to his damage output right now. If anyone recalls Irelia or Riven in their early states you know something is going to give eventually. For Irelia she's largely lost power and sustain to keep most of her utility. For Riven she lost a large chunk of her survivability, sustain and utility for raw power...which is kinda stupid for both cases because the lore for both of them pretty much speak the opposite; in that Irelia is an Ionian power house that pretty much single handedly cut down an invading army and Riven is a largely spoken of being able to get through otherwise complete devastation even when mentally and physically exhausted. Anyway, back to Ekko, as it stands right now, he's pretty much, acting like Sivir with his Timewinder (but with an added super slow), Equinox is insane team hard-CC for a standard ability that has added survivability for him, Phase Dive is a mini Kat Shunpo, and his ult is a reverse LB poof with higher damage scaling than most AP abilities and a lot of healing attached to it.
