One (of the many) Problems with Shaco Rework

Follow me on this because it's some hard to grasp concept, ok?

Shaco is meant to be an early game champion who falls of late game, right? What is the course of action Riot takes when changing him?

"Let's make his passive, Q and E all scale with his levels (total AD scalling is, by the end of the day, level scaling), so he has more power late game than early. But hey, we shouldn't crap on a champion's identity, so let's keep his late game not that great by not adding anything relevant to it. Ohh, we did such a fine job! His early game is not as toxic anymore! We will worry about his late game and it's inherent weakness when we finally get him a VGU. Right after Urgot, WW, Galio and another 10% of the champion's pool." - Riot, 2016.

Ok, I'll admit it: I'm salty as fuck. It just doesn't makes any goddamn sense to nerf an early game champion's early game that much without giving him ANY tools to be useful late game. Don't even bring that box on clone death thing. It was the biggest middle finger announced as a buff ever given to a champion.

Worst part? We have no answers at all from Riot on where they stand with Shaco's rework. Akali got plenty of threads and I saw at the very least 5 answers from Rioters.

His Q is pretty powerful full AD, and hybrid seems promising from what I've experienced...

he's not actually supposed to falloff lategame. it's his midgame that's supposed to be weaker than most other assassins, and then curve back up late.

He falls off, if nothing else, due to his design. Riot number nerfed his early without redesigning his late.

Yeah, I agree. There's another thread with a math breakdown on all of the changes to abilities, and they're all nerfs. every single ability change. except R was a potential slight buff?
