The super competitive additude that people have with URF is the reason that it's not fun anymore

Competitiveness can be fun. It's the reason why Summoner's Rift is enjoyable. Competition to show that you're better than they enemy laner and ultimate being the better team is a satisfying experience. And if you lose, learning about how you lost and how you can prevent that loss is a healthy way to better yourself to be sure that you don't lose again!

URF however was made for people to have fun. For people to just have fun and laugh over the stupidest and most craziest things they've ever seen. For those older people (born around 88-89), you guys remember Wild and Crazy kids? That show was about kids having fun! Yes, there were winners and losers, but you know what? No one was ever sad or mad or upset about losing. There was no prize. Nope.

A bunch of kids would get on this show and just have fun. They'd all grow up to have fond memories about being on this amazing show with Omar Gooding and Donnie Jeffcoat. It was just a show about a bunch of Kids having a ton of fun doing something they loved. Just being kids.

That's how I looked at URF mode. A mode where you can just have fun and just cut loose and laugh with both sides. With both your teammates and your enemies.

Don't get me wrong. I still love the way that URF is played. I love the idea and I adore the fun times I have. But. Now? People aren't playing it for fun. No, they want to play so freaking tryhard that they just ruin the fun. Yes, there are champs that are legitimately broken in that mode. Ezreal, Eve, Zed, Alistar, Sona, Xin, Shaco, Hecarim, Nasus. Etc.

Of course you'll have that one game where you'll see someone pick a Sion. Or a Corki, or Singed, or Tahm or whatever.

But then you'll ether run into a few things. You'll ether A) Get flamed by a teammate or two, for picking champions that aren't top tier. Or B) get flattened because you don't have those champs.

At least when URF first came out, you at least had a chance to get icons and stuff with your wins, so... it kinda sorta made sense if you were a collector of stuff. But now? There's nothing you get. You can get key fragments, win or lose. And overall you get absolutely nothing for winning. And yet, people will play the game like their rank is on the line or they'll play for blood.

Yes, I played Eve once and Hecarim once. I've done everything at least once. But after a while? I'd get bored as the devil if I played Eve every single game or whatever.

Note, I'm not complaining about URF. I think URF is awesome and I want to play it again. It's the people who want to constantly play to win like it's a tournament grand finals match with 20,000$ on the line that aggravate me.

Seriously y'all. Learn to just cut loose and have fun for a game or two. Trust me. You get nothing for winning and you lose nothing for losing.

And if you want to say that you're wasting time with losing.... congratulations. You're already wasting time playing a video game.... which is MADE to be a time waster to begin with. :P

URF was only fun the first time for around a week... you know why? Because it was a joke. Everyone wanted to see their main doing crazy thing. Then people figure out which ones were the broken champions, which ones had the most chances of winning and well....they created a meta. From there it stopped being a joke and became another game mode liek all of them. And the only reason you think of URF as fun is because of taht impression it did on you.

Honestly I'm playing most of the featured mode but URF since i know is the one with the most hype and the one more prone to become competitive. And every gamer knows that a competitive community is a shitty community.

That's how I looked at

Then you realize that your perceptive does not apply to others wants and desires.

Untill riot changes the rules and the win lose condition, playing to win is the correct way.

I'm an '89er. Stop making me feel old.

I would want to URF to unwind a bit, but... jesus fish on a fusebox, people are getting ultra pissy about it. It's a fucking gimmick game mode. Can't we just treat it like that?!

A gimmick mode where people try harder to win than in ranked.

Where people pick the champions that the most broken in THAT game mode, taking the fun away from everyone else.

I´m exaggerating in this example but it´s not too far from the truth. By my 6th URF match i was already tilted. A goddamn Maokai. And a Ziggs. And a Nidalee. And a Yi. All for the fucking trillionth time.

The most fun i´ve had in it was Swain and his perma-ult. It was my first time even playing the champion too. But other than that, i can´t play my main there, i can´t play champions i like there. Because they´re either too item dependant or just worse than the trashiest of trash champion tiers in URF.

I just play Varus and spam q all day erryday. The fact that he can die super quick cause he has no escapes or cheap methods, just skillshots in this mode makes it fun. I've never played the seriously OP champs cause I kinda would feel stingy if I did

Isn't Muramana/Manamune completely useless on URF Jayce? You are considered to have no mana, thus you don't get any bonus AD and you don't proc the bonus damage. At least it's how I saw it worked for me.

No, you still get the bonus damage (at least, I'm pretty sure. I always noticed a big powerspike when I got the item). You technically still have mana, just none of it is used. For instance, for champions with ticking mana costs that scale up (Kog'Maw, Swain), it can get to a point where it is larger then their mana pool, and they have to wait for it reset.

I love how the try-hards downvoted this. Yet almost all the comments I see here are almost all positive.
