Is Annie balanced?

I'm really just curious to others opinion on Annie. She has as much burst as leblanc but in a more aoe format but doesn't have the mobility. This would be okay but there is absolutely no counterplay to her stun ult. If she ults you which is unavoidable because it is an instant cast you are dead. How is this healthy in a champion's kit? I would just really like to know what others think of this.

Yeah she is pretty balanced actually. CC is not on demand, it needs to be built up. Her range is very low. She has no mobility and no form of engagement without flash. She s given high burst to compensate.

Leblanc has less burst because she has on demand CC; soft CC anyway;. She has much more mobility. Her range is slightly higher.

She is balanced but you really gotta keep an eye on when flash is up for her because she has incredible engage with it. Otherwise, she is very limited with her range. True, she can 100/0 any carry in existence but she needs to get close to do it. It can be really hard for her to use her abilities on carries if a tank is keeping her away and if she burns her DPS on the tank she will really be missing out on her key task of assassinating a carry. In lane she's very strong against any melee assassin like Diana and Katarina but against long range champs like Xerath, Lux, and victor she will suffer horribly and be forced to roam and try to catch other lanes to keep up.

She's an older champ and her kit does reflect that. There is little counterplay when her stun is up other than to predict when she's about to all-in and stay away. That's not very healthy. However, unless decently fed, she can't 100-0 you (until later mid game). She can maybe 80-0 you or so even as a squishy, but 100-0 isn't really her thing unless really fed. And once her combo is over, she's very fragile.

In lane, force her to always have her stun up. If she uses her stun spell on anything at all, be sure to trade. Especially in the pre-6 game...her autos are very weak and she'll be forced to farm with her Q if she's under pressure.

After laning: Just like lb, keep your distance. She will dominate mid-game, but falls off hard in late game. item 3102 severely reduces the effectiveness of her combo. If you catch her out, don't group up but punish her for it. summoner 3 is great. Make her have to use her stun/burst on a tank. Keep track of her flash. If you know her flash is up and a teamfight breaks out and you're playing a squishy, position well and don't step up to where she can flash combo you. If her flash is down, she has to put herself in quite a bit of danger to get close enough to hit the backline. If you're playing an assassin, just like always - don't enter the fight until the major burst and/or CC abilities are down. It's suicide to just jump to the backline otherwise.

As an Annie main i do sometimes feel like 'wow, 100-0ing someone is really cheap." but then again her range and very low mobility evens her out.

Only bronzies have real issues against Annie. Why do you think people in higher divisions don't freak out when they see her mid?

Annie is a better support than a mid laner. She's just really easy to play. So... the reason why people cry about her is because they can't lane. Same reason why they qq about every other champion in the game.

She is pretty much balanced but she is very toxic. The toxic part could EASILY be fixed if they put a time limit on how long she could hold her stun.

not instant cast

Leblanc's full burst is actually much higher... like 1.5x higher. Usually with Annie I find you have to build a little MR, but after that she doesn't instantly kill you. A little respect of distance after that and she's handleable. She's a real pain if she gets ahead of you though.

For all I care they can buff her Ult damage, but just make it a skillshot like where she tosses the bear or Tibber falls out of the sky, I don't care if he pops out of the ground, just make it so the ability is a skillshot.

Her dmg is ok, but she is almost manaless, requires little aiming, Q is spammable - so she feels like she has more dmg than some other mages. There are alot of people who can outburst her, but you usually are able to dodge some of their spells.

Yea, no. In my opinion, annie is probably the most OP champion in the game. I ban her every time I'm first pick.

AoE CC burst. In what fucking universe could that EVER be balanced? Imagine Talon's ult stunned you. That'd be retarded and everyone would cry for nerfs because AoE burst with 0 chance of retaliation is just simply unbalanced. The fact that you can't even last hit in lane against annie unless you are above 75% health is just plain unfair. It's not fun to play against, and It's just too strong. When you land a big ult as malphite and your team engages, it feels like shit when the enemy annie just presses RW and stuns/bursts half your team to 3/4 health while they get cleaned up by the rest, not even mentioning that she can just kill any squishy that gets hit with her R with a Q.

Itemization also lends itself to her in a way that makes her annoyingly tanky. With a RoA, rylais, hourglass, and abyssal scepter, annie easily attains 180ish armor, over 100 mr, and 3k health.

Her 0 mobility problem is compensated for with distortion/mobi boots with utility masteries, meaning if you aren't in bronze and your team isn't just araming it and teamfighting every time they respawn then you will have flash up for the majority of important teamfights.

Everyone's common argument is that she's "low range" or "easy to zone" or "just buy banshee's veil hurr durr", which again is not true. She has 625 range on her Q (which she uses to last hit, might as well be her AA) and W, which is more than enough to easily punish any mage/assassin who does not have infinite mana and or infinite waveclear. Going all in on her is a death sentence because of her low cooldowns and insane damage. Banshee's veil can be popped by any spell, which you're guaranteed to be hit by plenty of in a siege, and has a 30 second cooldown. If the annie is stupid enough to engage on 2+ people with a banshee's veil that's just user error.

I have played many champions vs annie, and I just can't stand it any more. She beats everyone that isn't malzahar or ap kog and she is just so impactful that there's nothing you can really do to stop her. I ask her to be banned every game, and if she gets through and is picked on the enemy team I just dodge because i'd rather lose 3 lp than 20.

I find she has little to no counterplay in lane. There's not much you can do about her doing a Flash+Tibbers combo then removing your health bar.

Maybe others in higher elos have better luck with her, but I struggle greatly.
