Yasuo is NOT a feast or famine champion

AquariusGine··44 votes·2,219 views

Unlike Akali Fizz Katarina Riven Zed ,

when Yasuo falls behind, he does not stay behind. He can quickly catch up with superb farming and utility. Why do you think most Yasuos you see are level 7? Of all the champions this one is probably the easiest to achieve mastery 7 through farming.

The last nerf was not nearly enough. His balanced state is so unfun to play against I doubt his banrate will ever drop. The only option left is to rework.

That's a problem though. No champion should ever make a game winning comeback if they are shit on all game. For Yasuo, he builds 2 items and suddenly he's killing everything in sight. That's not how an opponent gaining an advantage all game should pan out.

inuitmailman3 votes

It's called a late game hyper carry there are many of those. Caitlyn, katarina, fiora and lots more. They have a weak early game so thy can have a strong late game. There are also champions who have the exact opposite like lee sin and morde

6KEMBE4ORBA7 votes

Fiora was a hyper-carry before her rework.

Now she is another new champ with overloaded kit + stats left untweaked, a result of Riot's bad design gameplay wise...

Similar to ekko, ivern and all new champs (reworks) that build like tanks but still do dmg.

Btw, 2 complete items dosn't mean "lategame" or rather it didn't and it shouldn't.

And no, Fiora dosn't have a weak early game, neither does Cait.

Now, 20/25 min mark is considered lategame cause Riot wants shorter matches, hence all the shitty continuous changes that add up and we see the results now.

Most ranked games are practically over around the 15 min mark.

His 2 item power spike does allow him to do a lot of damage, but any half competently team can blow him up an his 0 resistances up just by looking at him sideways

Hella Kaiser1 votes

if you are in soloq laning against a champ that could carry, what do you do? destroy them in lane! but what if that champ can just roam around and 1v3 your team because your team can't even chain 2 stuns? idk, surr?

Hèntaî 3 votes

Well then thats not the champions fault. That would be the 3 that died because they couldnt land anything to keep him down.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

should a 1/14/0 champ get a solo triple kill?

chipndip17 votes

If they did your team is garbage and it's not the champ's fault in the slightest.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

but that guy is as garbage as my team!!! why can he do that?!? i've seen that happen only with yasuo! why is he special?? do i get a garbage team only when we're facing yasuo?!?

chipndip15 votes

Cause he's lucky he's facing the garbage on your team, or your team was unlucky enough to do the wrong stupid things to do at the time. Either way, not a 1/14 Yasuo's fault for triple killing alone...it's the morons that don't know wtf they're doing to let someone...ANYONE, that's 1/14 get a triple kill alone.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

guess i've met something like 50 lucky yasuos...

chipndip12 votes

Or you can stop pulling numbers and hyperbole out of thin air.

If you're conceding you've met 50 Yasuo players that solo-multi-kill while massively behind without any setup, help, or late-game status so kda didn't matter anymore, you absolutely deserve every single salty tear you shed over the sight of it.

Hèntaî 1 votes

I like you, that last bit gave me a good chuckle.

Crazier clone x2 votes

Can confirm, many times I see a Yasuo go 0/5 1/5, but somehow he easily gets back in the game. I mean if I shut you down hard, you should stay down...

inuitmailman4 votes

Every champion in the game has the pitential to farm back into the game. And I've seen many many champions have outplays like your talking about. Riven and cait can farm back into game easily. They are snowball chamions but can still farm back into it. That's how the game is supposed to work.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

Mordekaiser ?

Joseraph2 votes

"I'll blow your carries up if they get close, draintank half your team's damage, and/or siege your turrets with my pet Elder dragon, forcing you to send two people to kill me"

Seriously, Morde isn't that horrible, especially onetricks like MM can hit 62% ranked winrates on him. He's just buggy and clunky.

Akali is SO HOT1 votes

Maybe in low elo that happens, but not in high elo

Big Lincoln14 votes

He can quickly catch up with superb farming

There is not a single champion that won't become relevant again by farming

Dukues17 votes

Not every champ effortlessly farms as easy as Yasuo does.

1011001110003 votes

Malzahar

Velkoz

Lux

Anivia

Dukues9 votes

all those use resources....... Lux is no where close to Yasuo level. Anivia is insanely good at it once she gets some items. Velkoz item dependent. Malzahar probably closest as far as comparing mages to Yasuo but he still uses mana. Granted it's generally not a huge deal for him.

1011001110005 votes

Yasuo : Item dependent.

Velkoz : Item dependent.

Malzahar : Exists to free farm.

Lux : Free farms with E after basically 1 item.

Anivia : Free farms like a bitch.

Ahri : Tosses Q's into waves repeatedly, no effort.

Ekko : TOsses Q's into waves repeatedly, no effort.

I don't see your point.

Dukues8 votes

Never seen any of those champs besides Yasuo be 0-10 yet still have close to relevant CS. Just saying... much easier to feed yet get farmed than other champs.

1011001110004 votes

Then you don't play good League.

Dukues4 votes

I know that. I am just trying to explain what a large part of the player population sees. And what we see is terrible Yasuo feeding yet splitting and since all you do is dash & auto they hardly ever miss CS so they still get items. While other champs like mages with skill shots and resources usually have a harder time csing because people are bad. So when I say "i have not seen an 0-10 lux with relevant cs" its because its damn true. Your never going to see a 0-10 Lux in low elo know what their doing or being able to cs for shit because if your 0-10 with Lux in low elo then you clearly have many problems in playing the game. But that's just... a standard low elo Yasuo game.

chipndip13 votes

Large part of the population is Silver/Bronze. You think a high skill cap champ should be completely gutted because low elo players won't stop whining?

TheGoomyGamer3 votes

What? All of those champs have waveclear from range, yasuo has waveclear but has to be in melee range. If hes so far behind he can't step up for cs then he can't have relevant cs unless the opposing laner sucks.

Joseraph1 votes

If your Yasuo is 0-10 and his CS is relevant, you're probably not zoning well enough.

Dukues1 votes

again... assuming I am talking about laning against him lmfao. This has nothing to do with me laning again him. Yea... If he 0-10 I am going to zone him. But what I am talking about is him going 0-10 and then splitting another lane while fights go around the map elsewhere. And since it's low elo you have people who suck ass at rotating so Yasuo gets free farm while people go to dumb spots. And since Yasuo easy to CS with he doesn't miss most of it and can clear waves fast and even though he feeds he keeps up on CS. Plus not like he needs full build to do a lot of damage. One good CC ult from a teammate or a nice Q knockup and he probably at least kills a couple players with his ult. That 0-10 start is now irrelevant.

Joseraph1 votes

If you're missing uncontested CS on any champion, you're doing something wrong.

If your team is actively letting Yasuo free farm while doing nothing else on the map, you're doing something wrong. Saying Yasuo is op because he splits, gets CS and suddenly becomes relevant while your team fiddles the thumbs is like saying Nasus is op for doing the exact same thing.

Granted, if Yasuo's ult has a ridiculous scaling on AD, but if you're clumped up against a Yasuo Malphite, you don't have a great case to complain when your entire team gets wombo-combo'd. If he's behind you shouldn't have a major issue deleting him if he's in the center of his team.

PS: Don't fight inside of his Windwall. Just about every crazy 1/5 Yasuo 1v3 I've seen stemmed from the ADC or Mage unloading thousands of damage into a windwall already out.

Big Lincoln5 votes

then just fuckin' kill him when he comes into lane

if yasuo is feeding you then he's free gold and a death timer

Dukues5 votes

people are talking about him feeding but getting 2 items then going to another lane and killing your team. That's what OP talking about. Plus the fact he just split pushes never misses CS and even when he dies still gets relevant gold and does enough dmg to kill carries if not constantly focused.

I play jungle so I don't really care anymore. I am just sick of either having him on my team and feeding every game he is not banned or having him on enemy team and watching my teammates fail against him. Granted, it makes for easy ganks and since I main Gragas now its pretty easy to peel and cc him. But yea more or less just sick of looking at his smug face. Doesn't matter what champs op in low elo, just which ones are played the most. Which is why a large part of the player population plan on banning Yasuo.

inuitmailman1 votes

Very true. Yasuo is highly acceptable to crowd control too

tC0gzVJ6rF4 votes

Every single champion in league is. People who say this about shutting a champ down are the most annoying people on the boards

Big Lincoln3 votes

there's a difference between CCing a squishy like Yasuo and CCing Darius

tC0gzVJ6rF5 votes

Better hope the CC you are using on Yas is targeted

Yaśuo Main2 votes

why exactly

he isn't even as mobile as riven so unless you prove that he is too slippery to CC, you have no point in trying to win the arguement

tC0gzVJ6rF3 votes

If minions are nearby he is much more mobile then riven. A minion wave is 6/7 minions. Riven has 4 dashes. If their are 3 champs around Yasuo that is a potential 9/10 dashes. Not even close

Yaśuo Main3 votes

If you were aware of Yasuo's dash ability and not only it's CD you'd know that is so wrong.

  • Situational Mobility is stronger than Normal Mobility

For example, Yasuo near minions is a bit more mobile than Riven but without minions he's basically a species of turtle

Yasuo's maximum dashes he can do when dashing straight through a wave to chase an enemy is 3, maybe 4 if the player is really skilled at Yasuo. This still equals Riven's dashes. Another sign of your ignorance is that the only way he'd dash 9-10 times is 3 things.

Enemies have no CC.

Yasuo is a dumbass who can't run away and instead just dashes for no reason

Both

  • Riven still has more mobility.

I don't know if you are high or something but Riven literally beats Yasuo in every race when both are full build. From escaping enemies to diving, Yasuo is literally walking almost the entire time. This is because Yasuo has targeted dashes which means he has to have an enemy to dash to unlike Riven who can go anywhere, along with her being able to jump over walls way better and more often than Yasuo. Her dashes also deal craptons more damage.

You are a troglodyte.

tC0gzVJ6rF2 votes

Ah typical Toxic Yasuo main. You're opinion isn't biased at all i'm sure lmao.

He has unlimited dashes as long as their are minions nearby and even without minions he has a potential 5 dashes every 6 seconds in a team fight.

Riven also doesn't have a magical ability that blocks anything from a certain direction and since most CC in the game are considered projectiles for the most part, CC'ing yasuo is much much more difficult then CCing a Normal squishy Carry. Not to mention he can build PD IE BT then two tank items and it wont matter anyways because he does insane damage and is hard as hell to kill with a 500 shield that resets on his Ult.

The only Troglodyte here is you trying to justify that Yasuo isnt one of the most mobile champions in the entire game and "Just CC him" isn't an option in most cases assuming the Yasuo player isn't an absolute APE

Yaśuo Main3 votes

Of course if Yasuo had unlimited dashes there has to be unlimited minions in the same area as him. Also, technically every champ has unlimited dashes as they just have to wait to cast it again.

You assume I say he isn't one of the most mobile champions even though I'm comparing only Yasuo and Riven.

Building 2 tank items like Randuins, Thornmail Warmogs and something other than that on Yasuo is probably the dumbest thing ever, clearly you don't have bias but stupidity as you can't tell the difference between a bruiser item and a tank item.

500 shield can be taken down with literally only 1 point of damage.

LMAO, keep trying.

Marshbouy10 votes

Do you have any statistics or real facts for this or are you just claiming that he isn't feast or famine and treating it as a fact?

Ahristocats6 votes

he's not feast or famin because he offers utility just like gangplank isn't feast or famin because of his global ult

carries with utility are healthier as they will not start to splitpush like trynd if they fall behind but actually contribute

and then op makes it sound like a bad thing

Marshbouy7 votes

I meant OP is stating that no matter what he becomes a huge damage threat in the game regardless of how well he did in lane. Helping out a team with windwall/ult combo is different then going 0/9, getting 2 items, then being able to kill anyone.

Ahristocats4 votes

{quoted}

is different then going 0/9, getting 2 items, then being able to kill anyone.

that's a myth they think it's true because they got outplayed by yasuo

i never saw a 0/9 yasuo killing people with 2 items in high elo

Marshbouy6 votes

It's a total fucking myth. I've played literally thousands of games in bronze/silver/gold elos and I have never actually seen it happen. I have asked repeatedly for a video of it happening, and i have got no such video.

The worst part is that people act like it happens every game and that its a fact. It's not. Yasuo didn't 1v3 after 2 items.

GULAG 4 U5 votes

I am honestly sick of this bullshit me too. I mean, I just saw this garbage (https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/E8Pi3iwB-riot-devs-attempt-to-get-yasuo-unpermabanned-failed-now-even-more-banned)

where the OP claims Yasuo is a forgiving champion and lee is a hypercarry. The amount of low quality and bullshit filled content in gameplay is off the charts. I'm starting to think /r/hearthstone is less bitchy now.

Danjeng2 votes

More realistically is a 0/5 Yasuo who has amassed a massive gold and experience advantage simply by staying in lane, would be able to 1v1 the enemy carry. I've seen it happen. But I find it very hard to believe a 0/9 champion with only 2 items can do much besides throw out windwalls.

In that case, don't let Yasuo free farm, or he will still become fed off CS gold. I think this applies to most toplaner duelists. IDK why Yasuo is such a big problem on boards. The only thing bad about him is his ridiculous Bloodthirster + Frozen Mallet build, but I don't see that often.

tC0gzVJ6rF8 votes

The reason for this is that crit items are double as effective on him, so he can basically do with two items what an ADC needs 4 items for. Him being double as effective with items means you have to shut him down twice as hard.
