I'm pretty excited for the Sona changes, actually
I really thought they were going to be awful at first, but she's honest to god looking like a real, solid support. She has options now! She can build healer builds, traditional support builds, AP builds (although a bit of a tossup like before)
It's really great to see some love being put into her kit after so many nerfs and bad decisions with good intentions being thrown around all these past seasons. Her heal will feel good, her shield will feel good while still being an opportunistic and split-second-heat-of-the-moment action, her poke will be less irritating while her usage of powerchords will be more important, and her Crescendo's ranking will be ultimately (pun intended) more important since it supplies more damage and more CDR on her abilities.
The only hitch I see is her E. Its a bit... unintuitive, but also fair? The speed boost from hitting an enemy is good, but it means that you DO have to hit an enemy to escape or chase. It makes sense on paper, but I'm unsure how it will function in practice. Other than that, I think she's well on her way to being a great support again! Thank you Riot for proving the boards wrong this time that you only want to nerf her. I for one, as a person who plays way too much Sona, can't wait to see the turnout.
