Why do people like Orianna?
Her winrate isn't that high and she has skillshots compared to fizz or other assassins who can snowball heavily and roam to affect ALL lanes.

Because they like her?
Not everyone plays a champ just because they're OP/meta/good/etc. Ori's just a lot of fun to play, has a unique kit, and goes great with certain team comps.
great laning, and awesome in team fights. She isn't a snowball champ like Fizz, but her utility from her kit is amazing. She can poke, peel, displace, shield...she is a team oriented champ that can be a game changer, if you know what you are doing.
Orianna is a very powerful champ. She scales on a special resource called Skill. Her winrate isn't a reflection of the champ herself, since 2 kinds of people play her.
Since her debut, she's been a stable pick, kind like Lee Sin. She's only been patched twice since 2010. Orianna has better ganking potential when compared to Fizz. Long range, slow, stun, it's pretty brutal. Along with damage, she has a ton on utility. She can buff your initiator, pull all enemies together, speed up your team, and slow down their team.
In the late game, the sight of that ball is scarier than any Shark, Death Mark, or Shadow Dance
Because she has an enormous amount of Utility, even when compared with other mages, combined with decent sustained damage.
as orianna counters assassins
