Kai'Sa doesn't seem like an ADC and it's a problem to me

I expected an ADC but instead it seems Kai'Sa would be more viable as a jungler or midlaner.

Her NUMBERS WILL DICTATE EVERYTHING. Literally which lane or role she plays will be determined by her numbers and I really hope she's mainly an ADC. Why is her being in another lane an issue?

We got promised an ADC and Riot has been hyping it. However, I would be sad to see she's just much more viable in another role. (Just like Yasuo was supposed to be a melee ADC)

We'd have to wait for her to be released but for now - this is just my worry.

Apparently she only has 500 range. Depending on the range and cooldown on her missiles, I don't predict her going bot lane

yet Vayne goes bot lane all the time with only 550 range.

I'm pretty sure her SKILLS are how she farms, not her autos. Autos are for champ fighting, imo. Her missiles with a couple items will clear whole waves.

50 range is a pretty huge difference. A 25 difference is what keeps Quinn out of the bot lane most of the time. The only reason Xayah, Lucian, and Sivir still work at lower then 550 is because they have much larger effective range (plus Lucian's low CD mobility)

I know. but her missiles if timed right kill a wave for her. She doesn't need the range post 6.

Well that is the catch-22. If she can insta clear a wave with missiles she will be played bot, but she will also be broken because an instant fire skill can kill a wave. If she can't insta clear the wave she probably won't be played bot because she will get bullied too hard. The only way it kind of works is like a semi low cool down on q so she can clear in like 2-3 casts, but even then she lacks the defensive option of someone like Sivir to hang around the minion line for that long.

Her Q missiles are most likely weak damage. If you notice in the preview, she has 3 items most likely when fighting. Guinsoos+BORK+Shiv for damage and attack speed. Her Q still didn't destroy a whole minion wave then either.

Previews seem to almost go out of their way to avoid realistically portraying damage.

I would wait until she gets to the PBE.

On that topic, i see yasuo show up bot fairly often.

It always ends with him fed as shit because the actual ADC cant respect how fast he can move and dumbly attacks windwall.

She's an adc. She requires orbing in champ fights. She, like Jhin , is going to use her kit to farm though. Her autos are for champ fights.

But Jhin has probably the longest range-impact since he can chain CC with W from far away and has his R.

Kai Sa in other hand looks exactly the opposite so I doubt that she will be played bot, she seems too much Quinn.

Look at her early game. Pretty short range, absolutely no self peel in the early game (invisibility is not online), bad harass abilities (Q hits minions, W gets blocked by minions), no escapes, her passive requires her to hit an enemy 5 times to proc it if she is solo. Seems kinda bad for a solo laner if you ask me.

Jungle: depends on her clear, her early ganks will be horrible. No hard CC, lacking early damage, no mobility pre 6 and who knows how long her ult CD is.

In the bot lane, she will get harassed, but at least she has a support to

Help her survive ganks
Help her stack her passive with hard CC

For me, it seems that bot lane will be her best position, just to give her help to survive her horrible early game to scale.

jungle depends entirely on how well her Q can farm. However if it is decent I can see her be a farming jungler like kayn, yi and shyvanna. Won't be op or anything but usable (again it depends entirely on her Q)

once she hits 6 with W and ult her ganks become good however, especially cause ally CC triggers her passive plasma stacks as well (so she can ult off ally CC)

I feel like she seems more of a marksman assassin/skirmisher akin to Vayne and Quinn that fits well in toplane (and jungle/mid perhaps too), as opposed to bot lane.

Would have loved to see her as a botlane carry though. I think we could do with more AP-based "ADCs", to open up new team-comps.

Simply support her with any lockdown support like leona or thresh and she will be fine bot. Supports are there to cover the weaknesses of an adc. Lock down makes up for lack of range.

I absolutely pray she is going to be a solo laner marksmen. I love the visuals, looks like kerrigan and samus had a baby imo. First adc i don't want to instant kms but actually look forward to play. But knowing riot they will just gut her, give her higher attack range to make sure she is played bot. Other roles are not allowed to have fun champs and now riot dictates how champs are played, look at kayn for reference. They will just REEEEE again, ITS A MARKSMEN HURR DURR HE MUST BE PLAYED BOT NOWHERE ELSE HURR DURR. Same thing they did to camille btw. Although she can kinda still jungle it is not good or advisable. Would be fun as hell to play her toplane i assume, her kit doesn't look too opressive to melees like vayne does.

camille's jungle patterns were unfair as shit. Her ganking was as good as it gets with the slow and super long range gapcloser/CC. The shield prevented from trying to counter engage and once she hit 6 it was a guaranteed kill/flash everytime her ult was up

not really no, her W provides AoE for wave clear, before nerf it provided sustain and once she bought tiamat with the auto attack resets it was actually pretty good

Except for the part she can't clear half the jungle. She is basically the melee version of twitch jungle. Cheese early kills on level 2/3 and keep snowball ganking or become useless until two items+. Especially now that catch up XP got partially removed. In your other comment you mention tiamat. That's 1200 gold on a high eco champ in a low gold influx environment if she doesn't get kills and keeps delaying her powerspikes. See lee sin doesn't need a 120 second CD ult to force a flash or guarantee a kill he does that casually from level 3 on. Don' get the fuss about camille jungle nothing is special about her even now where she is oh so op she doesn't fare too well in the jungle. On release camille was just overtuned in general no matter the role. Besides that isn't even my point it's about kaisa and classic boards just downvotes and brings nothing substantial to the topic so whatever not worth discussing on here anymore.

whut? I was talking about prenerf camille dude. You obviously don't know about the strat where you start with rejuvenation bead and go bot side into wolfs, then red, scuttle, gank, krugs, by the time you have done that you have more than enough gold for tiamat.

I didn't say she was super OP, I said her jungle patterns weren't fair. You missed the point that she can camp a lane after it burns flash. Yea her clear was just ok but who gives a crap.

I find it funny that whenever you debate valid points with arguments people a lot of times say you are unfairly "attacking" them and say they are gonna leave, then you reply to their actual counter arguments and they keep replying. DOn't know why they always say they will leave

I think she is designed to be a hybrid champion.

And because of her passive they even will be able to balance her around multiple build paths.

There is a difference between an ADC and a ranged champion who goes bot lane for safety. Kindred is an ADC, but shes doesn't go bot. Corki is an ADC, but he doesn't go bot. Just because a champion is an ADC doesn't mean they should be forced into bot lane.

I'm happy to see more variation in ADC roles.

Corki isn't an ADC. His passive clarifies that. Just because you build crit or AD items doesn't make you an ADC.

Kindred and Quinn aren't ADCs - they're marksmen. ADC is a role, not a class.
