Rioters’ Rapport and the Claims hey Make

I read something from Meddler and got kind of ticked off by it, and it made me think that maybe disclosure is an issue.

He wrote in so many words that they aren’t doing anything for mordekaiser until a VGU and that he DOESNT think he’s weak. I disagree with meddlers assessment. But does he see data I don’t? I don’t know, because he didn’t say.

I feel that outside of the AP item pass and maybe the loss of MR glyphs, every major change has been a nerf to morde. The competition gets harder and I only get by in my deep knowledge of the character and my opponent’s lack of knowledge. I’d wager he floats a normal win rate from mains.

I’d like to know what he sees that says “yeah this character isn’t weak”.

I think this goes for a lot of rioter comments. I do see them substantiate with graphs or at times, but for the most part they make statements that may very well look bizarre to to players who don’t see the champions KPIs

I mean I just picked him up a few weeks ago and have been stomping with him.

Lolalytics indicates thats theres a number of morde mains with 50+ games played in diamond+ who have 60%+ winrates, and theres even a couple just under 75% which is bonkers.

I think morde is one of those champs that like 90% of players don't really even understand fully, much less know how to play him at his peak. For the 0.001% who have mastered him though, he is kinda terrifying, and I can understand how riot wouldn't want to put more power into him and make those select few into solo queue gods.

It's sortof the ryze/azir/kalista issue where balancing for the majority makes them broken in the hands of the best, but instead of the difference being overall team communication, it's raw understanding of the champion that's the issue.
