Eve - Possible Minor Rework?

#1. Dark Frenzy (W) - Increase the cost from 0 to 50 Mana.

If Evelynn has mana sustain built into her passive, Shadow Walk, she doesn't really need a free ability too.

#2. Ravage (E) - Change the skill into an on-next-attack modifier, to make Eve really shine outside of teamfights. This would reset her auto-attack.

COST: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 MANA COOLDOWN: 9

ACTIVE: Evelynn's next basic attack within 3 seconds has + 100 range and hits twice, dealing an additional 35 / 55 / 75 / 95 / 115 (+ 50% AP) (+ 50% bonus AD) physical damage and applying on-hit effects with each strike. TOTAL PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 100% AP) (+ 100% bonus AD)

If the empowered attack hits, Evelynn also gains 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120% bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

This ability can be cast while stealthed.

#3. Agony's Embrace (R) - Make her feel like an assassin who tries to pick people off while avoiding teamfights. Reward her for playing smart.

RANGE: 650 COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80

ACTIVE: Evelynn impales target enemy champion, dealing magic damage equal to 15 / 20 / 25% (+ 1% per 100 AP) of their current health. The target is also marked for 5 seconds, reducing their movement speed by 30%.

Evelynn siphons the target's pain, gaining a shield equal to 80 / 90 / 100% of the damage dealt by this ability for 4 seconds.

If an enemy dies while marked with Agony's Embrace, Evelynn revels in their demise, healing herself for 10 / 15 / 20% (+1% per 100 AP) of the victim's maximum health.

Thoughts? :o

EDIT: Made it more clear that Ravage would reset her auto-attack and the damage would be in addition to two of her basic attacks.

Nerf 3 skills and give up mid-late game flanking options in exchange for a more reliable ult, 3 more seconds of slow on ult, and a possible heal if enemy is killed within 5 seconds.

Just a thought on Agony's Embrace:

  • The shield could be changed to... flat amount + % Damage Dealt
  • The heal could be changed to... flat amount + % Eve's Max Health
  • The heal could be changed to... % Eve's Max Health

Otherwise, it might be only worth using on enemies that are stacking health.

As an Eve player, my biggest question is "Why nerf her W?" Her mana sustain is actually atrocious (mostly due to Q spam) and that alone makes me question whether you actually play her or if you just looked at her kit and thought you could fix her. Eve simply doesn't have room in her build for mana items besides Sheen, leaving her passive mana regen weak enough (especially since the changes back in 5.1 or 5.2) that she'll be out after one or two gank attempts, not to mention clearing if she doesn't have blue. She doesn't need an additional mana drain, especially one that she needs to be casting on cooldown.

For Ravage, this is an attempt at a flat out buff that ends up a little strange. There's no indication that it could be used on towers, the extra auto is actually a huge thing to add (it's an instant three attacks with a massive AS steroid attached), and there's a noticeable potential to waste the attack, putting it on cooldown for 9 seconds and losing out on a considerable portion of Eve's DPS with no reward. Call it something that "separates the good Eves from the bad" if you like, but it's still punishing in comparison to her current setup. Eve really doesn't need to be more binary than she already is and this would pile on power to her E while at the same time increasing her ability to get absolutely nothing.

For the ult changes, I generally like it. Single target ult is more how Eve should be, not a big teamfight clusterer. However, the lower slow, the fact that it's STILL current health damage, the fact that the shield is linked to her damage dealt, and the fairly oddball heal (though as an Eve play from S1 I do appreciate it) give the ability an ever more bruiser-like feel than it already has. Which is odd considering that this was intended to make her feel more like an assassin.

Overall I feel like this was put together by someone who looked at Eve's kit without playing her and purely theorycrafted form there. It doesn't solve any of her major problems, it contains a lot of potential waste, and in a lot of ways makes her more binary. I'd suggest playing Eve more than you have and then hitting the drawing board again and seeing what you can come up with from scratch.
