My feelings exactly.
At no point does surrender benefit the player or the game.
Getting into a new match won't make you a better player. If you are losing lane and losing games often then you're going to keep doing so. Either you need to play out the game and learn what to do when behind, or you'll keep losing.
I have had people try to surrender at 20 because we were down by 1 kill and neither team had turrets. I have had people try to surrender because we lost a dragon, lost a baron, didn't get first tower, and the list goes on.
Then when I say no and that we can still win, they blow up at me.
The only time someone should surrender is if they aren't playing to have fun, improve, or gain elo, which begs the question, why are you playing? If you are playing the game then you play to win until your nexus explodes. Until that point you can turn it. The only time this isn't true is at challenger tier or extremely high level 5 man team play. In those situations players understand the intricacies of the game to the extent that they can see the game is absolutely impossible as the opposing players won't make mistakes that would give up their lead at that level. However, at any tier lower than that, it is highly possible for players to screw the pooch and make a game changing mistake.
This is why I want an auto decline function and for the surrender window to go away once you have voted instead of when everyone has voted.
