Hashinshin and SoloRenekton is the opposite of each other

Hashinshin complains about top lane being the worst lane to play.

While SoloRenekton has no problem playing top lane and abusing every kind of strats and champions up there.

And when they do meet up with each other in solo queue, SoloRenekton always wins vs him.

So who is biased? Hashinshin right? because he loses to better player and then complains about x champion is ruining top lane.

Hashinshin complains about:

  • Junglers
  • Rangeds Top
  • Mages
  • Supports
  • ADC
  • Juggernaut
  • Riven/Fiora
  • Rumble
  • Itemization
  • Runes
  • Gangplank
  • Assassins

everything basically based on his mood and how he lose games.

I watch Hashinshin not because he is good at the game but he rants and complains. (He is not good anyway, nothing really impressive about just right click champions or broken champions like Aatrox)

I watch SoloRenekton because he always have videos of him winning with every kind of builds top lane and shows diversity in that lane but I despise his clickbait videos title.

I mean he complains about ranged tops so by default he has a point. They shouldn't exist.

There's no rule that says top has to be melee and you can always just pick a melee that shits on ranged champs

LordGeovanni3 votes

There isnt but there is a universal understanding that Ranged champions are supposedly squishy and thus lose early lane to melee because melee's walk up to them with superior base stats and beat them. this is largely untrue as ranged champions make melee champions'superior base stats' irrlivenat by getting 2 autos in before the champion gets to them. without even kiting even worse with kiting and their also get large movement ablities and big CC ablities that are more often than non condition less so they can use press the ability and thus use it to both kite and chase. I belive than some ranged champions should have spells that are half their auto attack range or that super long ranged spells should be gutted to do (slightly more than) Aery like damage or have aftershock like cooldowns. the problem with this is that it will have people crying that the intentional nerfs dont have the character work the same (no duh when their pattern was chunk most of peoples health bar from an uncounterable range except by similar champions) and if they only do it to new champions they just wont ever be as good as the current ones who still have their long broken spells with high damage.

So what you want is to make ranged champions be useless because you have no idea how to deal with them as a melee champion? And people wonder why riot doesn't listen to them

LordGeovanni3 votes

I know excatly how to deal with ranged champions and i dont think that being forced out of lane to sit under tower (and still get poked if i try to get anything other than melee minions) is fair. The Advantage of ranged champions range does not come with enough downsides to for anyone to rather pick melee champions other than personal preferance. In pro the put up with it because they make money from suffering though not having an early game so that they can get out one rotation late game and their back line finishes everything else off. pros usually play ranged cheese champions in solo que or assassins that are the only champions that can catch squishies because of their massive range massive damage aoe spells.

There is no such rule lmao. Wtf kind of rule is based around the enemy being Iron 4 and just standing still and letting a melee walk up to them?

If you pick something like Garen into a Vayne you're going to have a bad time but pick something like MonkeyKing or Pantheon and you'll shit all over her no problem. All champs are going to have good and bad matchups but more importantly it's how you play. If you're playing a bad matchup be it melee or ranged then you have to make the most of the situation and not just run in and feed over and over. An Iron 4 Vayne is not going to beat a Diamond Garen

LordGeovanni3 votes

because everyone first picks vayne top and even if they did you'd know that it was top rather than the lane she is supposed to be in. you the only one here talking about rules as if there is a rule that says ranged champions should the go top get to shut down the entire lane and top laners must just take it.

Eedat4 votes

I think you completely missed the entire point. It doesnt matter who you pick. You've going to have good and bad match ups. Ranged tops dont auto win top lane. If fact, almost all of them are shit or mediocre at best in general except maybe Vlad

This whole "shut down top lane" is a pile of horse shit coming from salty Hashitshit fans.

LordGeovanni3 votes

This is completely untrue you guys rely on winrates to tell you these things when winrates cant tell you if you wont lane they only tell you if you were in games that won.

I really mean no offense to you but this comment proves that you have little to none game knowledge. The champions that deal damage from a further distance have obvious weaknesses like lack of mobility and cc. Any assassin can wipe these champions with little to no effort. It's all a matter of match-ups and decision-making.

Lack of mobility and CC?

Ahri - Charm and 3 dashes.

Caitlyn - Trap that stuns, dash that slows

Kennen - Speed boost that's basically as fast as a dash, ranged aoe stuns

Lissandra - Dashes, has multiple CC's.

This list can go on and on.

Not sure what world you live in, but ranged champions have either mobility or CC 100% of the time, and some of them have both.

What are you even talking about? He said there are no champions that are ranged and have mobility and crowd control. How the fuck does that have anything to do with decision making and match ups?

FOR JUSTICE3 votes

and why not? who said toplane should only be for melee champions?

arowin2424 votes

ranged should have a place in toplane: however with the current tools in the game (kleptomancy) ranged top laners can focus less on Cs'ing and more on poking the enemy down. before hand they either gave up CS or stopped poking, which gave a window for melee's to CS or trade or potentially all-in.

not only that ranged top champs often have a safety net to fall back on so that they can escape a gank / surive an all-in. in return for this they often sport lower HP pools or armor / MR to balance out their more relatively safe nature.

so a better way to balance these champs would to either nerf kleptomancy on ranged champions or make it so melee's have better access to means to punish ranged top's from overextending to poke without having to rely on their jungler. (ranged top's can push you in, force you to sit under tower while they run off to help their jungler, or just roam in general.)

another form of balancing is to give ranged top champions a more unified identity: does champ A go well with poking but fall off later or does Champ B need range in order to compensate for significant early weaknesses so they don't get delete by default?

that's my opinion on the matter

Love how people just randomly decided to hate on ranged tops even though THEY ALWAYS WERE A THING! ranged tops isn't something that just suddenly came to being a thing in the last season or two. Where were you in all of the previous seasons asking for them to "get out of top lane"?

Chad Chadlainn3 votes

It really does not matter if they were 'always a thing', I have always thought they shouldn't exist. Just because I haven't bothered with a pointless board post that will achieve nothing doesn't change this fact.

its not that they shouldnt exist. its that they shouldnt effordlessly win lane against melee.

there is a difference between a counterpick with a lane advantage, and a champion literally not letting you play the game.

i dont have a problem with playing safe according to the matchup, but ranged shouldnt counter melee as hard as they do. maybe they just need to increase the aggro range of the top lane turret, or its targeting speed.

if ranged champions werent capable of poking the shit out of you under your own turret just with basic attacks, id already be happy. abilities often have more range, so there is still the ability to pressure. but they should at least have to trade single shots with the turret on auto attack poke and not just get that shit for free.

if riot can make the turrets asymmetric by removing the fortification on bot lane, they can do this to make top lane less counterpick oriented in general.

With SRO unless your watching his "to challenger" series he is often only showing his stomp games and rarely those where he is playing from behind. I like SRO he makes positive videos but he doesn't show his mad moments, didn't he tell someone to jump off a bridge because they said calm down.

Their target audiences are different you watch hashinshin for mad rants and mechanical outplays before he gets ganked. Sro if you want a off-meta build, some gameplay pointers and the 6-0 dream, you don't get shown his Renekton side.

Hash may often have stupid ideas and balance suggestions doesn't mean he can't complain when hes playing in the lane with the most potential bullshit match-ups, who enjoyed playing against kench in the toplane.

nm10103 votes

Do you watch SRO's stream? It is all a show in plat or lower games. The instant his team starts to lose he turns off the recording and turns into one of the biggest assholes in the game.

preternatural3 votes

dude plays renekton i mean obviously he has no quibbles about balance.

Lord Coffee3 votes

Both high elo players, so I dont understand the point of this post.

LordGeovanni3 votes

SRO definitly has things that ticks him off if you can read his Expression he just doesnt say anything because thats the personality he wants to portray as to not shit on anybody's champion. on top of that he Doesnt touch towers in most circumstances he throws bigger leads because he 'plays safe' in order for him to touch towers his enemy laner had to have went bot or tp'ed bot even when he kills his enemy he rarely touches the tower in his videos he just backs instead of damaging the tower so his next push can destroy it then going back (he like many players play as if they dont spend the gold right the second they got it its gonna disappear. Redmercy and Professor akali plays like this too.) Hash talks about many problems top lane and he's right most of em but he only identifies the cause to a problem about 70-80% of the time.

Exzer0x3 votes

Just to clarify, Hashinshin says he views the game from a bruisers point of view. Now first of all, while Riot states that they don't want a meta, by changing the runes system they have enforced a meta onto us, thus also implying that tanks and bruisers/ ap Bruiser (Juggernauts) should be played top and ranged champs bot. Yes in Ranked you try to counterpick but there still is the problem of first-picking. Second of all, indeed there are good and bad matchups but Hashinshin is talking about impossible matchups, the problem here lies within the fact of knowing that whatever I do, I will lose my lane and that is very unfun to play infact at this point u dont enjoy yourself but there is higher risk of toxicity, cuz you're already agitated from your matchup (Say your Xin Zhao starts inting in the jgl, you're winning a losing matchup in top as 2v1, but then flame him and oh Permaban (talking from experience)). Last but not least SRO goes out from the same point as Hashinshin, as both state :"you won't get a fair matchup in toplane" the difference is while Hashinshin tries to win with the most fun and enjoyable champions, SRO is the dude who picks the annoying, unfair matchup (and it is for those reasons that watch both or either of them)
