Can we please get a "too good" report for lower ELOs plz?

The "too good" report: Accumulate too many and you get knocked up an entire tier. on the flip side you also get a ranked restriction for a couple of days. There, now whenever i see a smurf i cabn play knowing i wont see them again... and if they arent a smurf

1: they wouldnt get too many 2: they'd fall back to where they belong.

Also this helps a lot for those claiming they cant get out of their Elo because their teammates suck. If this is the case then just play like a god every game or sit down.

Smurfing isn't, shouldn't be, and never will be a punishable offense. If a player has a new friend they want to teach, they shouldn't have to force the newcomer into a level 30 game. If a player is Plat with Bronze friends, same thing. And then there's WildTurtle, who usually has multiple challenger accounts. Should he be denied that fun? You can disagree with all of this. We're all entitled to our opinions.

Smurfing will happen. You'll get carried by them, you'll lose to them. Regularly used smurfs will climb the ladder fast. You won't see them twice. If it's an account that's rarely used... well there you go. You still won't see it twice.

A ranked restriction for smurfing... how could you honestly tell a smurf from a player having a good game? I've carried on champs to the point that I look like a smurf in Silver. No, I'm actually Silver. I don't want to get punished for carrying consistently. Matchmaking/MMR will already do that.

Yeah, MMR. When you win enough games, your MMR goes up. Sometimes, it skyrockets, to the point that you get matched with people too good for you. Then it takes a few more games to balance out. I don't need to be reported for matchmaking to do what it's gonna do anyway.

The real problem here? Sounds like you've lost to a smurf. Maybe not once, maybe not twice. Frequently enough to post about. But how many times have you had a smurf on your team? How many times have you beaten a smurf who was over-confidently trying to solo carry?

In reference to ranked it should be very punishable. Especially if you're diamond in a fucking Bronze game where im so close to completing my** god DAMN SERIES AND I GET KICKED RIGHT THE FUCK ON BACK WHILE HE SHOUTS "GGEZ" IN FUCKING ALL CHAT!!!** - but i digress

but seriously.

you think getting promoted an entire tier is a punishment? it's only cost is a couple of days of you not being able to play ranked. as punishment for ruining a ranked game for somebody because you decided to take your diamond behind self into a game where people play seriously.

And yes. it's happendd so many fucking times. where people on the enemy team duo with their smurf friends and get free wins. yet for some odd reason out of the 8 times it's happened this season only 1 was a smurf on my side and the dude was only gold.

I'm on your loking. You're complaining about 8 out of 223 games. You've had smurfs in less than 4% of your games.

Yeah, it sucks to get beaten by a smurf. But 3.7% of your games... c'mon now. That's not what's holding you back.

I always seem to get them at crucial moments. I admit im not the best player or anywhere close, but isnt it infuriating to work super hard just to get a smurf in series and get knocked back down?

this on top of the frustration of almost leaving bronze last season and having to climb back from B5 in a meta where solo carrying no longer works nearly as well as it did before. do you see the frustration? and even if it's 8% of my games, why should anybody EVER have to lose elo because of a smurf who wants to "stomp the bronzies" much less at such crucial points.

wouldnt that be like a professional NBA player playing in a junior basketball championship game as a member of the rest of the team of kids, not holding back, and winning? Im sorry but would you accept that?

I understand your frustration. I really do. I was almost Gold last season, and placed into Bronze this season. And you're right, NBA stars shouldn't be shitstomping in a junior league, it's unfair. Unfortunately League's ladder works differently than basketball though, and there are too many counterpoints to that argument.

That aside, you gotta just keep trying.

At the very least, you're pretty cool about it unlike a certain man named Skilled Theory

I try to be a respectful person. To be honest, you posted plenty of stuff I disagree with. A few years ago I might've been flaming you. But that's unnecessary, and promotes the toxicity that no one wants to see. I'd rather disagree and discuss.

In other news, please don't name and shame. It makes you no better than the one in question. And Boards highly looks down on it.

He's in the comments right below...

care to articulate?

do you think smurfs should be able to run rampant?

At the very least you dont have to ban their accounts just return them to where they belong.

and instead of adding to the conversation you instead heckle.. well Ok

This is literally the most useless post I have ever heard. Out of the thousands of things I have read on the boards, this one trumps them as being the most useless one of them all. My God, I did not think that was possible.

perhaps you explain why it's a dumb idea instead of just saying it's a dumb idea. And it's not exactly like this idea hasnt been tossed around before.

really, there aren't that many smurfs running around in compared to the actual rank that belongs there. a lot of people lie about being a smurf also. the other thing is if they really are a smurf, they will be climbing fast and you won't see them anyways again, unless you insta Q again with them.

the first time I was accused of being a smurf was also the first time I had ever heard of smurfs funny enough, so the restriction is also not a good idea. I placed bronze 3 last season and climbed in a week to about silver 3 and then continued to climb until I got gold. if there was an option, I would have been restricted from ranked just for doing well and climbing.
