Dorans ring should cost the same as blade

Mages don't deserve an extra potion. They used to, but not for one second do I believe they need the advantage anymore. These new retarded runes have made up for nearly all of their flaws. The 3% lifesteal we get from the blade is nearly pointless as most mages hit me 100-300 at level 1. Good thing i'm healing less than 3 hp at level 1, woooooot.

Who is hitting for 300 at lvl 1? If you're going to make an argument at least come with actual numbers or no one is going to take this discussion seriously.

Silver 5 low elo thread at its finest. Don't bother too much about it.

Yeah who exactly is hitting you for 300 damage at level 1?

I think the most dangerous level 1 all in is an electrocute E-2 auto wukong, and thats not a mage. And I also dont think thats quite 300 damage.

See theres HUGE problems with this logic. Dorans blade scales/ Ring doesn't. You're going to hit 2, 3, 4, 7 etc. and still have that blade. Probably healing or getting 2 auto's off minion. Lets assume the overall healing per hit is ~4 health, and you're getting ~1.5 autos per minion, and 3 champion hits per every 2 waves.

In 120 minions, Dorans Blade is: 120 * 1.5 (hits per minion) = 180 autos 120/12 (every 2 waves) = 10 * 3 champion autos = 30 additional autos 210 auto's at ~4 health per auto = 840 health Keep in mind, these are some conservative numbers, and you will probably hold onto Dorans blade until you have to sell it, so its giving more sustain than this.

In 120 minions, Dorans Ring is: Oh, its 4 mana no matter what. Wow its relative value is super easy to calculate because its a constant, its only worth as many minions as you kill, whereas blade is worth infinitily more because its on hit.

120 minions (you manage to get 85 of them "killed) 85 * 4 mana per kill = 340 mana Nope, no more calculations needed. Lets say you hold it to the end of the game, getting 200 minion kills 200 * 4 = 800 mana. Still not "OP" by any stretch.

So, the question is this; is 840 health = 340 mana?

IMO, if I'm a mage, yes, I prefer the 340 mana because that means I can farm more waves The ADC, if hes low health, NEEDS that 840 health or else he dies to a combo from the sup/enemy adc. Honestly in my opinion, in a lot of cases 840 health > 340 mana, because thats basically a "full backs" worth of HP, ensuring you can sustain longer and back late as possible.

The fact that I had to do this, smh. You're comparing an on hit item which has infinite potential value to an on-kill item which will ALWAYS have a limit to its worth.

No need to fix what isn't broken/causing a problem. Let items that are fine be the way they are
