No, not at all. His double crit passive is poor design, his dashes are poor design, his ult's reliance on a specific type of cc is poor design. And yes, his windwall is poor design.

Since you offer absolutely no explanation at all, I assume your definition of "poor design" is "I don't like fighting against it."

To be fair, that's a rather valid reason for something to be poor design when a large percentage of players share this sentiment. No champion should be considered Anti-Fun to play or play against.

And frankly an instant projectile eraser isn't fun. A 1200 range ult that can't be missed so long as somebody is knocked up or being displaced that extends CC duration... Oh and gives Yasuo 50% bonus-armor pen for 15 seconds so you can't even counter build his AD... Did I mention it's a 30 second CD at 16? Double Crit Bonus forcing him into one build path? An auto-shield that blocks anything his wind wall doesn't? Thank the gods the guy's numbers have been gutted, when he was at his peak (or rather, anything prior to now) there was frankly no stopping him even if he was a bad yasuo.

Well, since you asked so impolitely:

  1. His double crit passive breaks the balance of crit items on him. They're not just suitable for his kit, but statistically superior on him, giving him more bang for his gold than originally intended. This also restricts Yasuo's build path in a way.

  2. His dashes are basically infinite around creeps. Theres no resource management here. Not much risk. Not much an opponent can take advantage of. It creates problems for any positioning heavy champion, because usage of this ability doesn't stop him from using it over and over.

  3. His windwall is too absolute and too binary. Its useless for Yasuo against the wrong champion and devastates the right opponent.

  4. Despite your attempt to claim that a specific type of cc isn't a specific type because some champs have it, yes it is a problem that it preferances certain types of cc. It restricts the options of the players, and alters the balance of other things in the game around Yasuo. Not because of strategy or tactics, but mechanically alters the game.

I only think windwall is stupid on him and how it stops just about everything.

If they gave that ability to a support, it'd have a limit to how many projectiles it could stop or it would speed up enemies that ran through.

And it would be that supports ultimate.

Braum is a support. He has Windwall that he can move; it only fully blocks one skill, but it then intercepts all other projectiles and reduces their damage. It is a basic ability.

Reduces one attacks damage fully, then takes reduced damage.

Moveable, but smaller.

I get that they're alike, but you can't tell me the one on the carry is worse than the one on the tank.

Windwall is my biggest problem, its incredible in a team fight and becomes quite large at later levels. Its also on a pretty low cd. I just dont get why a carry needs a spell like that.

Because a carry needs some sort of self-defense tool in order to survive combat.

For Marksmen, they have CC and/or mobility so they can reposition in a fight.

For melee carries, you're kind of forced to fight in the front despite being squishy as hell. Which means you need defensive tools in order to survive combat.

And don't point at his passive's shield. That thing grants an unreliable shred of HP that wouldn't be useful to a tank, let alone a squishy, until past level 11 when it has slightly respectable numbers.

Yup. And has long as his kit remains the same i sincerely hope he never receives buffs.

His design flows together pretty well, and it also has some fair counter-play.

My main qualm with his design is that they decided to focus his damage output though Crit. While the Crit doubling passive is actually pretty well-balanced itself--the innate damage reduction on it actually pushes his late-game DPS lower than Yi or Tryndamere--the problem comes from Crit Chance itself not being very well-balanced today.

I've always enjoyed playing both as and against Yasuo, but the shit Crit system is what bothers me.
