what is the point of jinx? plz help, jinx mains

i was playing rank solo Q when i got teamed with jinx main in bot lane. it was probably the hardest carry i've ever seen, of course along with my tresh madlife skills. anyways, i wanted to give jinx a try because this player made jinx look so fucking easy, and this guy (or girl, w/e) landed every single rocket!!

so i picked up jinx and i don't understand her gameplay/style. i've played other adcs like twitch, kogmaw, and caitlyn.

with twitch, just ambush, W (ult if you have it) and just press E and thats it. they get blown the fuck up with kogmaw, just throw ooze, W the hell out of them until they die. not hard. caitlyn has crazy crits, so just AA, do a piltover peacemake, ult if necessary. easy.

but with jinx i don't get it. you can't abuse her Q else you ran out of mana. her minigun has super short range that whenever i start attacking i get bursted right away because im pretty much melee distance away cus of minigun range. her W has very long cast time so people dodge it quickly, and her E has very weird hit bot. sometimes they run over them and they don't even get caught. her ult is kinda hard to land. it's easy if you enemy isn't moving, or if it's not lucian, ez, or graves. pretty much if they have a dodge (fuck fizz, fucking bitch) you won't ever touch them with your ult.

Jinx is meant to be a late game hypercarry. She struggles in the laning phase but she has one of the strongest teamfights of any adc.

During laning, use Minigun for CS so you don't run out of mana. Every now and then its fine to use Rockets, but use Minigun for the majority. Use Rockets to poke in lane, especially if the enemy is near minions because you can CS and poke. Her W will take some getting used to as it does have a fairly long cast time, but it deals a lot of damage and provides a good slow (great for chasing/kiting). I really like to use W when I see the enemy go in to auto attack, as they can't move while attacking. This makes it a little easier to hit them. also, don't be afraid to use W to farm, especially to grab cannon minions. Her E has a "activation time" in that after you toss it out, it takes a few seconds to activate. This ability is what wins you most trades, survives ganks, and combos CC. During trades, either throw E early directly on top of the enemy (if even trade), slightly behind them in the escape path (if you are winning the trade), or slightly in front of them (if losing trade). Her E is great for comboing CC and will almost guarantee a won trade. Just like her W, her R takes getting used to, as does all long range skillshots. The great thing about her ult is that it is an AoE execute. Use it to pick off escaping enemies, or throw it into the middle of a teamfight for good AoE damage.

Laning is all about playing opportunistically. Sit back and farm for the most part, poke when you can, and stay alive. If there is an opening, combo CC with your support. I really like having a Thresh/Nami/Leona as they all have good CC to make landing E and W easier. Jinx is excellent at pushing down towers so punish your opponent when the back/die.

During teamfights, save E to disengage anyone trying to get on top of you, stay in Rocket form for the massive range boost and AoE Crits! Her passive makes repositioning/chasing/escaping very easy. Use Minigun on solo targets as it does more DPS, Rockets for multitargets.

Jinx doesn't have a lot of mobility aside from her passive, so playing safe is your #1 priority. Hopefully you can get a support that peels for you, keeping you safe usually means a won teamfight.

Hope this helps!

jinx is easy, you use q for champions unless they are diving on you or melee range you use mini gun and use mini gun on minions. There you go you jinx main now ggez

I'll just try to give you some tips to get you started.

Use your minigun to farm. It saves mana.

Use your rockets to poke. If you directly target a minion and hit a champion with the AOE, the enemy minions won't attack you.

During the laning phase, I find that if a target has about 300 health, an ultimate from a good range (max q rocket range or more) will normally kill a target. The more range the better though. The damage on the ult maxes out at the maximum range on Zap!.

In teamfights, use your rockets for aoe damage if the enemy is grouped up. If you need single target damage, minigun.

Your chompers can block jungle paths, so use this to your advantage.

Be careful in the laning phase because Jinx is at her weakest and she is very vulnerable to ganks.

If you can help it, try not to pick Jinx when the enemy has lots of dive champions, such as Jarvan or Vi.

Jinx gets blow up if anybody gets on top of her. Just try to play safe.

Don't initiate fights with your ult. Wait until the enemy team is low or save it to pick off stragglers who escaped with low health.

If you're playing with a support who has good cc like Leona or Blitcrank, chaining your snares with their cc is a good way to secure kills or deal extra damage.
