@Riot: Shaco's Play Rate is the same as pre-rework, but the % of 125+ games fell drastically

I'm not sure how accurate Champion.gg is, but if they are anywhere near reliable, the amount of Shaco mains who stopped playing the champion is huge.

As of patch 6.21 on Champion.gg, he had about 45% of his playerbase with over 125 games with his player base average being at 189 (the second higher out of any jungler except Fiddle). Right now, he's sitting at a 18% player base with over 125 games and the player base average is sitting at 100 games.

All of this while his play rate remains about the same (0.2% higher now). This indicates that there is a huge amount of mains leaving the champion, myself included. This might indicate that there is a problem with the champion right now.

So I have 2 questions:

Are those numbers concerning you? Or this is what was expected?

With the AP Shaco nerf that its going to happen, is there any possibility for a buff to AD Shaco as a compensation?

You must be new here.

It never hurts to try. I'd really like AD Shaco to be useful again so I can go back to using my main.

So would I. I still play Shaco as he is now, but I'd really like to not lose my f*$^ing passive whenever I build crit.

I wish Riot would buff AD so that I don't need to use this AP/AD hybrid build.

I still think that his early game is much more passive now. The JG timing changes killing his lv 2 FB cheese, his 1,5 sec stealth and his goddamn horrible base damages all around make him much more reliant on items to be useful.

Sadly if they wanted for AD Shaco to be strong they could have done that already. Passive working on critical strikes? Q having a bonus AD scaling? Boom! AD Shaco is stronger while AP Shaco is unaffected.

Just wait until Riot understands that having AP Shaco being viable is toxic and that the better option is for AD to be the dominant play style. Then AD Shaco will be back.

Honestly, I feel like current AP Shaco gets the best of both pre-rework Shacos. He can burst with Q + E, something which old AP Shaco could not do, as well as still having powerful boxes and clone explosion.

And they really fucked up with AD Shaco. "We want to tone down his early abuse but still leave him with options late game" proceeds to nerf AD Shaco's scaling and removes his passive mid to late. 10/10 logic. Of course everyone who plays Shaco is going to play him AP.

and at the same time his winrate increased to 53%. so newer people who less experience on him are doing better. so either the old Shaco players who quit where just bad at him (which is unlikely) or he is broken and the older players just are having a harder time trying to adapt to the new play-style while the newer playing don't have any previous ways to play him and pick up how to play him in is new OP state

AP Shaco is strong as hell, even though it's the most one dimensional thing you will ever see in League.

And I'm not talking about balance at all here. I'm talking about a champion having a small rework, and as a result losing most of his mains due to his main playstyle and build being nerfed.

As soon as AP Shaco becomes as balanced as pre-rework Shaco the hype will die and most of his new players will leave (as it happens with every rework or new champion), leaving him with a drastically smaller player base.
