Can we add +5 AD to

Cherysse··45 votes·2,868 views

item 3034 1000 total gold cost, +10 AD item 3123 800 total gold cost, +15 AD

We are paying a lot for a conditional passive with no increase on the AD of the item, sometimes I want to build this item ( item 3034 ) early but it costs a lot.

PD: to make it clear, I'm not saying "add damage to item 3036", that item is damn ok as it is.

then add + 10 AP to armguard

I think it would be better if they made it easier to stack and increased the stack cap a bit.

Vistha Kai12 votes

I think, it would be better, if they removed stacking altogether and give it flat 40 armor instead.

item 3155

morris16 votes

Or even better. Unique Passive - Zuck Fed: Upon taking physical damage that would reduce your HP below 30% delete Hexdrinker from your current match.

Also your ult now has 3x the cooldown.

and nerf its armor by 50

I was hoping you'd say item 3089

Cherysse2 votes

OP GG!

Eedat8 votes

item 3123 does NOT need a buff. Sure, its situational, but in those situations its already insanely strong

Cherysse8 votes

Uh? did you actually read? I'm saying that the one that needs the +5 AD is item 3034 not item 3123... lol, Executioner is fine...

O.o

Mandang021 votes

Was your post supposed to be clear? All I saw was "add +5 AD to" and then a blank, followed by two items and two statlines.

Not saying your argument is bad, but don't ask "did you actually read?" if you didn't take the time to write it out in the first place.

That looked like a list. Edit your post.

Ok, so you are trying to compare Executioner's and Giant Slayer. That wasn't really clear. But yeah, I think Giant Slayer needs a little gold cost decrease.

Cherysse3 votes

Indeed, I think that adding the +5 would be ok, decreasing the gold cost would be fine too.

Elikain2 votes

I think you're forgetting the effect of the Giant Slayer. The item itself is only 35% gold efficient without the passive and when using it against an enemy with 500 more HP than you, it becomes fully gold efficient.

So that means you're buying it to deal with early HP stacking targets - it's situational. It's not something you'd rush in any given situation as a Pickaxe is more worth against squishy targets.

I think that is the point of the damage differences. item 3034 has the potential to do more damage than item 3123 .

If you're going the item 3034 route, shouldn't you be building item 3035 first? 30% a-pen is sounds better then a "conditional" 1-10% physical damage. Even if you can only afford the item 1037 , it'd still be a better build path.

item 3124 has a lower total stat than its base compoments.

Cherysse3 votes

stacks a lot of stacks and damage potential real quick

Kingnewgameplus8 votes

I get that your supposed to stack the item but where the hell does the attack speed go after you buy it?

GaleWinUnleashed4 votes

Into the stacks. Buying Rageblade is a decision to opt into a drawn-out fighting style, staying in fights long enough to stack up your damage and THEN shred everything. It's not supposed to be good if you get ambushed while wandering through the jungle; most of its power is locked behind the ramping power of the stacking mechanic.

Kingnewgameplus8 votes

I understand that, and correct me if I'm wrong, but no other item in the game loses stats upon purchase.

GaleWinUnleashed3 votes

Pretty sure that's correct. But it's nice to have one item out there that gives offensive power without increasing burst damage even more.

-> "Increasing burst damage even more" -> Attack Speed is a stat that doesn't influence burst even the slightest.

To be fair, that is called high dps not burst. :p

Well, ok, but he's an exception. No other champion directly scales damage instead of DPS or CDR from attack speed.

you're exactly right, thanks for tolerating my smart-alec response

Except when AS does increase burst or the speed at which you can burst.

item 3085 use to for a while but was changed not too long ago. I don't see the issue since passive is still part of the item and you should be looking at the fully stacked item's stats not the no stacks stats, in my opinion.

morris15 votes

The passive is almost always accessible. Literally everyone will have more health than an ADC since 500 HP is such a little difference item 2045 item 3027 item 3116 item 3065 item 3152 item 3053 item 3071 etc. etc.

blfUvZ8Ybu3 votes

No because adcs are op.You give early power again.

Arakadia5 votes

Is that all you say? "ADC's are OP your wrong."

BloodyTompon1 votes

Nope. Sometimes I see 'Salty Azir hater' too.

Lugg2 votes

Both items are perfectly fine as is. The passive alone makes them gold efficient. You would have to increase the cost if you buffed them at all.

ModKnightsKemplar2 votes

I think it's good the way it is. Those items SHOULD be conditional, honestly.

Adding raw power to items to try to balance them is the thing that leads to balance nightmares. You see Riot say it all the time. Basically, "X item does what we wanted, but it's so efficient that everyone buys it all the time." If you make either one of those too good, the adcs will just pick one up second and sit on it for awhile. Every game. That really isn't what you want for balance and health.

Calabok1 votes

If you ask to make your item of your choice stronger, then the opposing side requires it too

Cherysse2 votes

Is not like I'm asking item 3155 to become stronger. But yes, Armguard is a lot weaker than Hexdrinker.

Critmaster Garen1 votes

the passive is not even as conditional as executioners passive. more champions tend to build or get more health than an adc, than there are champions who rely on regeneration and heals as part of their core gameplay. its only a 500 health difference needed to max out the bonus, and you get a lot more than +5 ad out of it.

at 250 health difference (which is 1 item 1028 with their higher base hp on most champions) and 100 ad, you already get your +5 damage on auto attacks and 5% more damage on spells.

Cherysse1 votes

item 1028 = 150 HP not 250

Critmaster Garen1 votes

{quoted}

item 1028 = 150 HP not 250

i said 150 hp + higher base hp on most champions is already 250 for + 5% damage.

giant slayer is super strong. I usually build it first before last whisper, unless there's like a rammus or something.

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

As if they didn't get enough bonus damage in the past few months.

Think about this.

What in the actual fuck of a difference is 5 AD going to make.
