Since you're buffing most armor items

can you buff this piece of garbage item 3075 along?. item 3068 got significantly buffed twice in a row now. well the +5 armor isn't a big buff but the 2nd buff is pretty significant for waveclear. anditem 3143 is cheaper with +50 health. can you buff thornmail already?. I mean. why can't it apply grievous wounds on the champions affected by it? so it doesn't get abused on champions that don't get lifesteal. but do something against the ones that do. or just plain increase the armor ratio or revert the nerfs and make it reflect 25% of the damage like it used to. i feel like it makes sense for it to apply grievous wounds. we have an ap gw item. an ad gw item. only thing left is a tank gw item and thornmail is the best candidate right now.

shut the hell up thornmail is fucking ridiculous. I don't know why you think it needs buffs

To heal through just the 50% damage reduction of Thornmail (100 armor, no base stats/runes/masteries) you need 30% lifesteal + 25 on-hit healing.

it used to reflect 30% damage.

and with the strength of adc, and on hit builds (devourer, rageblade) in general, we could really use a functioning thornmail.

i mean its stupid when im up against a team with 4 ad champs and decide to get sunfire as my third armor item instead of thornmail, because even if i dont need the waveclear passive, thornmail is still less useful than sunfire cape to keep me alive...

the armor item thats supposed to be strong in a situation where youre facing a lot of carries is weaker in this situation, than an armor item thats made for an entirely different purpose.

out of my 1500 matches. the only time. i saw someone dying to a thornmail passive. is ezreal with literally 8 health Qing a nasus with 400 armor even though i pinged him to back off lol. the nasus played it well. the ez had no lifesteal. anyway useless item.

the general change to the mechanics of the item wasnt even a bad idea. splitting the damage return into a flat value and a % damage return was supposed to make this thing useful against on hit and attack speed focused carries like vayne and kallista, aswell as infinity edge carries who stack tons of crit.

the problem is that the values are so low on both ends, that its just shit for both purposes now. on top of that they increased the amount of lifesteal and sustain carries have access to and made mercurial a pretty good buy on them. i see it pretty much every other game, and the extra mr alone negates a huge chunk of the damage return of the thornmail.

at this point, having thornmails passive apply grievous wounds would probably not even be too much to ask. especially since they nerfed the mechanic to only affect self healing.

i actually hate thornmail as an adc main and i dont think it is that underpowered. if i play draven and try to kill a mundo with thornmail, i will much more likely kill myself faster than mundo since new itemization is hard on lifesteal

Make thornmail an active and not a passive. Why is this so hard to do?
