Why isnt sportsman like attitude enforced as something you need to express

as the topic says ... we have loads of cases and even threads here that want the toxicity trolling and stuff to stop why isnt threre any effort put into making this happen ?

You're right, Riot should implement some sort of system into the game. Some sort of system where you could turn in trolls and toxic players to receive some sort of punishment......Reporting them, that's what it should be called.

If only Riot had a system where you could report players for being unsportsmanlike/toxic/trolls/etc.

reporting happens ... but do we se improvement ?

thats what bothers me here ... report system proves to be barely effective at all ... and nothing seems to be done to make it work

also most of people in game simply laught at reports ... becuase they are aware of their effectiveness and procced to be toxic

A couple weeks ago, not long after they instituted the revamped reporting system. I got into a game with an exceptionally toxic individual, after the game people reported him. Not 5 minutes later I got a popup message on the league client stating that a player that I had recently reported was punished by the system.

That's what they're doing about it, that's how we see improvement. They pieced together an exceptionally complex algorithm to actually detect toxic behavior in reports (as if you recall there is no live tribunal system currently), it finds the behavior and measures it against trends in said player's behavior, and then decides on how harsh of a punishment it should dish out.

It works for unsportsmanlike conduct as well as toxicity, but not for trolling as it's very difficult to pick something like that up and work that into the same algorithm. It's also not going to slap a punishment on someone for saying that something you did was stupid, it only slaps people who are way up there and very deserving of it.
