Who knew an assassin generally tends to get more kills, gold, damage, and can lead early wins more easily than a tanky champ?
Its like...assassins...do better in solo queue where they are in an environment more suited to them, compared to team oriented champions like Galio. God guys, Leblanc needs a neef. She gets more kills than Galio...another assassin!

Galio requires teamwork and communication. This doesn't exist in solo queue, so Galio has to rely on his solo-carry potential, which is pretty low. This means that Galio sucks ass in solo queue, even if he's objectively powerful.
He's hardly alone in this matter.
needs people to coordinate around his ult, and he needs allies to absorb jungle pressure so he doesn't feed too much before he gets his items and comes online.
have the same power curve issues as Ryze.
needs people to position him so he can land a good taunt out of his ult.
needs a support who is always near her when she needs it.
needs help to reliably get her stacks, and needs her allies to not run out of her ult.
is a nightmare for his team when his allies don't know how he works.
is already strong in solo queue, but is ascended to a new level in coordinated play due to the vision reduction on his ult, which can be utterly devastating.
Considering pros have MUCH better map awareness than random people in solo queue.... long range utli's are far stronger in pro play.
Same reason you see a lot of Shen/Taliyah in pro play.
Galio mid prevents those easy roams.
That moment when an anti-magic champion is owned by who he is supposed to counter.
