Remember how fun tank meta was?

all jumping on you with their sunfire capes and cinderhulks going? I remember that fun meta where the only viable ADCs were Vayne and Kog'Maw with some Varus. Where only sustained damage mages like Malz and Swain were viable.

You know, that fun meta where and walk around under your tower for ten minutes and are still at full HP. The meta where matches are decided by whomevers team is harder scaling champions after 55 minutes of stalling. Then they just deathball up mid lane and steam roll after the inevitable wait.

Boy that was a fun season. When we knew how games were going to end based on who got better tank busters. Yet matches were still an hour long.

Just because the current meta is crap. Doesn't mean go back to another crap meta.

Yeah, I'm not sure why anyone would want a meta where mechanical skill is echewed in favor of pure stats. I thought we were playing a MOBA, not Final Fantasy

i hated that meta because the marksmen that were viable were jinx/lucian/tristana all fucking boring to death

but mundo diving me? if he did that and i was jinx he would have died in 2 seconds while i draintanked him like fucking bullshit

Tank meta wasn't "Champions are tankier". Squishies died just as fast.

Tank meta was "There are 2-3 tanks in every team 4-6 every match and whomever has the most sunfire tanks and/or tank busters wins."

So? sounds pretty good to me if bruisers AND tanks were viable at the same time and AP top laners were also viable Kennen Rumble and got nerfed and Ryze and Heimerdinger who got nerfed into oblivion

low elo was just being stomped with tanks because that's not new

I love certain tanks but I can't deny that tank metas have been terrible so far. It basically just culminates in "farm and then 5v5 until the better comp wins"

I'm not sure how to rectify this while also making so tanks don't get outclassed by mobile bruisers for the 300th time.

10-15 would be preferable, having 2-3 tanks on a team makes fucking up too forgiving

so you're admiting that you were wrong? "while not making tanks outclassed by mobile bruisers" why bruiser rengar was viable? same for renek? jax? they're mobile bruisers and yet they were as viable as tanks

and you didn't have 3 tanks in one team, you had 2 tanks and possibly 3 with braum who was so broken on release

i played in silver/gold in season 5 and it was cancer. i mained sej before she became fotm and i hated that if i wasn't first pick then i needed to ban her. i could do w/e i wanted and not ever get blown up for it, then I could jump on their ADC and kill them with cinderhulk and gromp smite + thornmail

yeah only explination i can find because bruisers were as viable as tanks and we still had adcs and mages and zed was an assassin even if he was the only assassin played

so yeah definitly better

Cinderhulk was busted because it provided tanks with both DAMAGE and DURABILITY.

The AoE was too strong for the 25% bonus hp they got in the same package, after they changed that we had some of the best patches where almost anyone was viable and games weren't decided 5 minutes in.

like all bruisers- UNVIABLE all duelists- UNVIABLE you didn't have to care about skillshots, because you were so overpowered from a stats perspective you just crushed them.

game was basically over at champ select. people were asking for surrender at 10 because why bother playing for 20 minutes when you already know who won by the loading screen

It was Assassins that abused tank itemization meta. You could build this shit on almost anyone and it worked but Assassins utilized it even better (Shaco, Ekko, Fizz). There were still 3 actual tanks that were played (Maokai, Nautilus and Poppy) while rest was and still is forgotten.
