Laning Against MF rework.

Feels like she hurts alot more. And her scaling looks pretty good after the rework. Came at her as vayne after getting 1st blood and another kill on her + more cs at that point at 6 and got melted through by her ult. And her Q hurts like hell it seems like now. I never really saw or played her before the rework so im jw if this is something i should expect? I know i can cancel the ult channel with condemn or if absolutely necessary flashing behind her or tumbling. Anyways this is the second time ive fought her as vayne (whom ive picked up recently and have been playing alot in normals.) It didnt help that my support got wards 20 minutes in and we got mid-ganked 24/7 long story short mf got fed). But i would like help fighting her as vayne. Is there something im missing though? Should i treat her like draven and not 1v1 her early game because it seemed like she was doing more damage then. I didnt REALLY get to hit lategame so i couldnt rally compare damage and the game was pretty much over after she and fiora and zed got fed but im rambling can i get some guidance on fighting Miss Fortune post rework if anyone has any? Nb4 git gud

That's how every adc feels when they first blood a vayne and she comes back and whoops their ass XD

You're playing vayne, a "weak early game" adc vs Miss Fortune a "lane bully" adc who ulted you. It's her ULT she got a kill with her strongest ability. I dunno what you expect, but if it was lux, I'm sure you would respect the ult a bit more so do the same for anyone else. Especially now that her ult actually scales with AD albeit only a tiny bit. Her Q can crit now (if im not mistaken) which is probably why it seems to do more damage, and the bounce is definitely more damage.

Miss Fortune's lane bully potential comes from her Double Up/Q not her ult. It's actually a bit hard to find the perfect moment to use her ult, especially versus Vayne who can just Condemn her out of the ult.

Her ult has always scaled with AD since her last rework: It applied stacks of her W. As far as I know, her Q still cannot crit on either bullets, but the bounce shot deals 150% damage (and has crit text) if the first target died (still does good damage even if the first target didn't die.)

I know that her double up is what makes her a lane bully, but I'm saying you can't expect the lane bully to lose to the vayne especially after ulting. And, no her old ult used to apply the impure shots, but had no scaling on the ult itself with them. The ult would simply apply a stack of impure shots, whereas this ult consumes them while continuing to apply the stacks.

Her old old ult didn't apply stacks of her passive.

The reworked ult applies the damage and adds a stack of impure shots on each wave. It DOES NOT consume stacks of impure shots. (In fact, I don't think the ult got changed last patch at all, they just reworded the tooltip.)

(From a Miss Fortune main/G5~ MMR) Not missing anything. Miss Fortune is a Lane Bully early on, and the rework made her better at it. She's also a great roaming ADC. She's good at pretty much any point in the game. She's no hyper carry, but she should never be underestimated. Not really sure where to start, so I'll just go over her abilities a bit and how to play around them. - Something to note: All ADCs are super reliant on positioning, and Miss Fortune is no exception (possibly even more reliant)

Passive - Strut - It's almost a Boots of Mobility passive, but is only disabled on damage taken (rework made it so that if she has a shield, taking damage to that WON'T break her passive). It caps out at 70 movement speed. Early on, it makes it rather difficult to land a skillshot on a skilled MF player. Hitting her with non-DoT damage will disable the passive for a time. This is her only mobility skill and losing that if being engaged upon can be very costly. See W and E for more info

Q - Double Up - MF shoots a bullet at a target, which then ricochets onto another target behind the first. The second shot deals more damage than the first, making it more rewarding to land the second shot. The second shot is what makes Miss Fortune a lane bully, and the rework increased it further: If the bullet kills the first target, then the second target will take 150% damage from the second shot. Both shots apply on-hit effects (auto attacks) To get around it, you need to be moving constantly to a position where she can't ricochet the first shot onto you (or at least not behind a killable minion). She can always try and hit you with the first bullet, but it does not deal nearly the same amount of damage. She will always max this first.

W - Impure Shots - Has two components: a passive and an active. The passive gives 6% of her total AD as bonus magic damage on each auto attack, stacking up to 5 times for 30% AD added as magic damage (each rank in her ult adds one to the stack limit.). This part lets her deal some nice hybrid damage as well as rewards her for continuing a fight (similar to Vayne's Silver Bolts). Not much you can do to avoid this other than not getting hit by her auto attacks, Double Up, or ultimate. The active grants her bonus attack speed for a period of time as well as immediately activating her Strut passive giving her a full stack. Not much to do other than bait it out, and hitting her again to disable her Strut passive again. She will almost always max this second.

E - Make it Rain - MF shoots a rain of bullets over an area, dealing some damage over time and slowing targets in the area of effect. Used mostly for the slow, it is her only disengage skill (assuming she lost passive). At the same time, it also gives her some decent chasing potential. The rework made it a better 1 point skill by increasing the slow strength (though the duration was reduced a bit.)_ As any other constant AoE effect, simply move out of it to avoid the slow.

R - Bullet Time - MF stops and shoots multiple waves of bullets in a cone shaped AoE. Each bullet applies a stack of her Impure Shots passive. While the initial damage isn't too harsh, stay too long in the AoE and it will devastate you._ Get out as soon as possible (or kill/CC her ASAP.)

TL;DR - Move constantly to avoid her lining up a Double Up ricochet shot and avoid extended fights with her. To my knowledge, Miss Fortune does counter Vayne due to being a lane bully early game where Vayne is arguably her weakest. It's definitely possible to win this matchup, but MF has the advantage.

Ahhh oka. Yeah i tried staying behind 2 minions early on but her ults damage threw me off. I was actually about to kill her when she ulted. But thank you for the advice!

Vayne CAN win against Miss Fortune, though It's really difficult and usually always relies on a strong support. There's not really any point where Vayne outtrades Miss Fortune. Vayne won't be able to burst Miss Fortune down, since Miss Fortune is pretty bursty with her Q resets, and Vayne will never win extended fights because of Miss Fortune's W passive. Not to mention Miss Fortune has a bit above average defensive stats for ADCs I believe, just making it harder to fight her.

Not even late game? Should i just not 1v1 her at all as vayne?

Ratbert1 votes

Basically, if you can stun her, you win. Otherwise you shouldn't really try dueling her at all.

A Miss Fortune1 votes

Late game Vayne is a hypercarry, so I think she can 1v1 anybody. But Miss Fortune's dueling capability is really, really strong and her W passives can be pretty scary late game. I think it largely depends on the builds and the skill level of them both, though typically Vayne would beat Miss Fortune late game while Miss Fortune beats her otherwise.

MF's damage literally didn't change at all

MF does, and always has done, a LOT of damage. She's probably the highest damage marksman, since Impure Shots is basically free crit (as it's autoattack damage that scales with AD, just like crit), and Q is basically a really big AS buff mid to late game. and then she has an actual AS buff on top of that

early, she does a lot of damage late, she STILL does a lot of damage, about the same amount as Vayne

I agree, Miss Fortune's damage didn't necessarily change at all. One thing I feel like most people don't realize, is that Miss Fortune is at the top of the damage charts for ADCs if you play her appropriately. She has so much damage that's just built into her kit that people forget. Her Q as an instant auto attack reset that does damage itself, and her W passive making her have some of the highest auto attack damage output, that unlike Vayne's W for example, can't be counterplayed.

Well i must admit that i was unaware of her dealing high damage. Then again i usually only played ap MF for shits and giggles. The only adcs i knew did a lot of damage were vayne, jinx, and ofc early draven.
