Is this as good as it looks?

Your adc takes less damage allowing you to heal them more and you get healed for damage they deal while hiding behind them healing them like crazy. Has anyone tried this?

surely people have tried it, personally I haven't played raka since the new items, ( last time I played her
was the best build). But on paper, it seems pretty good, something like
. could be pretty damn good

It's a worthless item if you don't have 3000 HP. You only build it when you are at full build so you can chain heal everyone during sieges and heal to full again.
I find that
alone covers my regen needs. All that mana regen getting converted to health regen really adds up.
I don't think it's 'as good as it looks'. As both you and the adc are ranged champs it means 6% healing and damage taken. The item is 2300 gold and you can get a
for 2100 what not just gives you +20% healing to everybody but some other stuff and a nice active ability aswell.
And by the time you will get the item you will be in mid game already where you won't just handhold the adc but support the whole team. In a teamfight you have to heal the tank and the brawlers as if the adc is taking significant damage the team is messed up something badly anyways.
is a nice tank supp item but why would you build tank Raka?
I think for Raka as a core something like this is more viable
with some nice boot of your choice, like
for the CDs. Then you can go
or whatever the situation dictates.
Ah, I totally missed that nugget of text. That explains why no raka's are using it. I figured 12% was OP but 6% would certainly be lacking.
The effectiveness of Knight's Vow is lowered if the champion who owns the item is ranged.
Personally, I'd recommend something along the lines of:

Sell Ancient Coin later in the game when you need the item slot. You will be receiving the majority of your gold from assists and objectives by that point anyways.
