Warlord's bloodlust overlaps with Fervor of Battle and Grasp of the Undying

The whole point of reworking the mastery system was to make it so that any champion could go down any tree in order to change their playstyle, with some having more robust synergy than others for a given champion, but with all of them being circumstantially viable.

The previous system didn't offer meaningful choices because you could quickly find the optimal layout for a specific champion, and that layout would not change from game to game. The new system is not supposed to be so that the optimal layout for a given champion does change from game to game.

Having masteries that do the same thing is bad because it diminishes the whole point of the mastery rework. This system is supposed to be about TRADEOFFS, not about quickly finding the one and only optimal layout. If you want a specific kind of keystone you should have to consider the tradeoffs of going deep into the tree that has it-- you shouldn't be able to just go down the generally best tree for your class and pick up a mastery that provides similar strengths.

The danger of having masteries that do similar things is that it undermines the meaningfulness of the choices offered by the system.

Fervor of battle should be the "more damage with auto attacks" capstone. Grasp of the undying should be the "healing on hit" mastery. Warlords bloodlust is trying to do both of those at the same time! That means the champions who can use Warlord's bloodlust have less meaningful choices to make in the new mastery system if Warlords bloodlust is strong enough to warrant taking, or it will just be underpowered and underwhelming because it tries to do two things at once and will have to be gated on most champions by some mechanism (like chance).

I suggest changing warlord's bloodlust to something else entirely.

For example, it could restore health equal to X% of any damage that overkills an enemy champion. So if you throw a 600 damage nuke on a 200 health annie, it would restore X% of 400 hp. Thats just an idea, although I don't know if its the right one. The point is that warlords bloodlust should be totally distinct from the other masteries.

That's not to say Fervor's damage isn't meaningful. It'll be sitting pretty at 140 on-hit damage at 10 stacks at level 18... Suffice to say, Yi and Shyvana are going to be nightmares next patch.

Warlord's Bloodlust is a really boring mastery imo, and it should have some kind of rework, but definitely... not some kind of healing. ADCs already have so much lifesteal.

I don't think its that bad, it gives ADC's some meaningful sustain when they are building their crit items. It's not much, but its definitely something for the ADC class.

It'll be more noticeable as to how good or bad it really is after the next patch because they are buffing most of the keystones (warlords being one of them)

Edit: I wonder if they've considered making it an Attack speed stacker, Kind of like Fervor but attack speed. (or jax's passive)
