Will new Fiddlesticks be a Catcher/Battle-Mage?
I am looking forward to the Fiddlesticks rework and really like the art direction he has been taken in. What is most important to me, though, is whether he will have an equal or greater amount of utility compared to current Fiddlesticks. I enjoy playing him as both a support and jungler and I consider his playstyle to be a Catcher/Battle-Mage due to his strong CC (fear + silence + crows re-procing
) combined with AOE DOT and sustain. I've lost a lot of champions of my most played champions over the years from reworks alienating them from the roles I played them in. It would help put my mind at ease if someone could confirm that Fiddlesticks' new kit attempts to keep him playable as support/jungle with utility focused builds remaining an option or even being more encouraged. I would be very sad if his power budget was pushed into full damage to turn him into some sort of ambush burst AOE assassin.
If he needs to give up any particular power in his rework to fit new strengths into his power budget, I hope he gets pushed even further from being a burst champion in favor of DOT or more utility. I wouldn't mind him getting counterplay to his E poke as well, since I realize that it can currently be very frustrating for laning opponents. Reducing his damage to champions wouldn't necessarily need to reduce his jungle clear speeds either, since he could receive bonus damage to monsters somewhere in his kit.
