Azir as Marksman?

"marksmen" basically defines most characters that deal a large majority of their damage from autoattacks. So there's your answer His soldiers deal the majority of the damage, as they are his autos.

Marksman just means ranged autoattacker. Azir primarily autoattacks for damage so they consider him a marksman.

Yes, it's because of his Sand Soldiers. Azir's secondary role is Marksman because he fights primarily through basic attacks, even if the way he applies them is unique to him.

If they buffed his ability to W towers he would probably be taken bot lane

azir's design team was considering it in the development stage but they gave up this idea

I've done it quite a few times and haven't lost yet. In fact, I like Azir bot lane more than I do mid, but people see it as a troll pick so I just don't do it because I'd rather not tilt my team from the start.
