Does flex q affect solo q rank during preseason?

Can someone clarify me on how my solo q rank is affected. Riot says that if u climb during the preseason, this will affect your solo q rank when season 7 starts. But wait, flex q is the only ranked q out so does that mean that flex q affects our position in solo q during the start of s7???

They're supposed to be releasing solo queue in the next week or so, so you'll be able to play it prior to the next season, too. And I believe the base they'll use for solo queue to start is going to be your MMR from last season (minus the initial soft reset).
