Why do Illaoi's tentacles slap when they are dead?

Its a change they did to them.

Yeah, it's really annoying, and makes it near impossible to dodge them since they instantly retarget if you kill one and it slaps you as the other is sprouting under it >.< I'm gonna go with a bug that's "intended"

Its one of the many stupid changes they did when they altered illaoi. They can receive slam orders 0.25 seconds AFTER they die and still attack, thats ignoring the fact killing them during the slam animation doesnt kill them until after the slam completes.

As if removing the counterplay of attacking the Vessel to reduce duration wasn't enough they had to add the BS of getting slapped by dead tentacles.

People are seriously complaining about illaoi?

Nevermind the fact that if she misses her E or you dodge it because it isnt the world's hardest dodge, she becomes completely fucking inept?

Because literally any champ with aa-resets or AS will delete her tentacles while she can do absolutely nothing about it?

You are right its stupid. They should have put the power into her E by making the slow for the whole duration of the spell (when you have the spirit out and after its killed or broken)

Would be way better for everyone

Everytime theres a salt thread about Illaoi despite there being serious actual offenders in the game right now, i just laugh because it must be from terrible players. Imagine thinking Illaoi is in any way relevant before or after her changes, theres nothing statistically that shows the most immobile champ in the game is a problem.

I remember her in One for All mode god the tentacle ult spam...
