Let's assume you are both top lane. Wait until you see your bot lane getting ready for a fight and when that happens start channelling your teleport. Kayn will very likely ult into you so he comes along, however he's unaware that you actually teleported to your nexus turret.

I really do find people complaining that he can follow folks with long range ultis a bit silly, its not gonna be a best case move for him in many circumstances, as the Op has highlighted in post. Thou I'm not entirely shure burning you TP cd will be worth a single kill unless you can snag objectives.
