Is Sona damage really the problem? Not the spammable shield/heal on her W?

I always loved Sona as an aggressive poking machine, I would hate if they turned her into a healbot or shieldbot like Soraka and Janna.

You mean her shield that doesn't exist until midgame? The one with the high mana costs and low base healing+ relatively poor scaling?

that damage nerf isn't really big tho i think the aura dmg nerf is more notice-able

20% is alot on AP, 20% of 1000 is 200 for example. 20% of 400 is 80.

the nerf isn't as significant for her as her support contribution when building the AP

the aura nerf is -40% and -50% if she gets the bonus as well this is more noticeable than the -10% she gets on the ability it self

team wide utility wise the nerf is strong for her specifically not so much

They're not trying to nerf sona support they're trying to nerf ap sona.

Also she is supposed to be a support like raka or janna.

But thats the problem, we LOVE AP sona its fun, its not broken or anything, its fun to play she has relatively big weakness being the lowest health champion and mid ranges and no mobility and no escapes.

WE HATE support Sona because its booring, it makes you not feel like a carry when she feels like a carry when you play her.

AP Sona kinda is the problem in pro play rn, tho. Have you seen some games with her? She is nuking champions from 100% down to like 25% with just 1 Q + AA.

Well she is the only champion in the hole game with a long range homing abilities, the other one was the old heimerdinger he used to have a homing rocket but not anymore.
