But Fizz can buy Flask!

So can any champion?

Malphite Kassadin Talon Varus also take it to remedy their less then stellar laning or mana issues. They give up MP5/HP/AP for their sustain so you do funnily enough win all-ins but no sustained trades.

You don't have to stick to your Mobafire build of item 1056 if you feel he'll out sustain you. You can buy the same items too.

He buys these items because he does actually have a weak laning phase, yes he can **_kill _**you but if you play it right you can abuse the fact he has zero waveclear and is a melee assassin. And if he uses E to waveclear that's 90-130 mana gone and no danger for 15 seconds. Without a item 1076 it will literally take him more then a minute to regen the mana for Playful/Trickster. Making him use E defensively is a huge win in lane.

So everyone should start with Flask+pots in order to make sure they don't get outsustained by Fizz?

That reminds me of when everyone spent all of their starting gold on health potions. Only Garen really liked that.

No, he gives up a lot for the flask.

And yes if you think you can't use the extra stats of the Ring maybe flask is an option.

Complaining about flask is about as productive as complaining about the stat efficiency of Doran's Ring.

Most of the champions Fizz counters (AP mana-based mages) can make great use of a Doran's Ring. Flask is an option, but you're saying everyone should buy Flask in order to make sure they don't lose to Fizz because he bought a Flask. They have to "give up a lot" because Fizz "gave up a lot" for that Flask.

Complaining about anything in League tends to be unproductive because Riot doesn't give much of a shit about our opinions.

By the way, your argument about abusing Fizz's lack of waveclear doesn't hold much water when you consider that Fizz's classic lane is mid. It might be a shorter lane, but the enemy jungler is going to be passing by mid throughout the entire game. It's also fairly easy to keep waves off of your tower with just autoattacks if your lane opponent is dead— a privilege Fizz tends to enjoy fairly frequently, even if his opponent is abusing his lack of waveclear.

So you're saying that someone with a weak early game and mega awesome mid game should be assumed as not OP simply because everyone else can buy flask? Seems legit.

Buys flask on Akali instantly better than Fizz

DERP.

Kassadin and Talon usually do end up buying flask/3.
