Ranked Promotional question..

So I just got my first promo as I've never been too interested in actually ranking up in the few years that I've been playing this game. Anyways, I went from Bronze 3 to Bronze 1 and at the beginning of my promo series it told me i was granted 1 free win...? Is this normal or is it only a thing for bronze? I was just really surprised that it sent me up 2 ranks instead of 1 which is what I as expecting. Can i expect this sort of escalation in higher ranks? Like for example being promoted from Silver 4 to Gold 1? I know it doesn't really matter but I'm mainly curious and playing ranked now because it seems like I might as well just play ranked since the other draft pick is the closest i can get to the old team builder. </3

You can skip divisions upon winning a series if your mmr is high enough to be placed in a higher division. The "free win" is from promo helper, it gifts you one win when you enter a promotional series you've already attempted (if you're below gold 1).
