Title. I am a master yi player (level 7 56k).
I think he does need a rework (For being a shitstomper in low elo while being garbo at high elos)
But I don't know how to fix him, what do you guys think?

I'm a long-time League player and just having flashbacks to before his last rework (that put him into the state he's in now), AKA AP Yi. For 2 whole years, Master Yi had a 100% AP scaling on his Q and a 300% AP scaling on his W. And unlike most annoying old champions, like old Urgot, Poppy, Sion, and Yorick, he didn't get nerfed into the ground. For 2 whole years, he terrorized solo queue, boosting players from bronze to challenger just from being Master Yi.

The thing is being behind on yi feels like shit. And oftenly you can play it out perfectly on yi and still die...
He's just one of the shitter melee carries unlike yasuo because windman has utility, while yi afk farms till 6 and his ganks aren't very strong.
