Skarner is getting another rework?

Wasn't he reworked just last year? What happened to make it so he needed another one so soon?

Because Riot champ design is shit and they'd rather piss out skins every patch to sell at 7 bucks a pop than hire quality game designers

I mean look they picked up Ghostcrawler from WoW

They'd rather piddle around with champs that don't need it than address all the problem champs. Riot is kind of retarded if you haven't noticed.

Like other fighters, he lacks a "strategic identity" (a specifiic reason to bring him on a team apart from his raw stat power). He just runs at you to smack you.

He has a high point on his ultimate, but they are trying to increase the things that are 'his thing'.

This appears to be part of the much anticipated Fighter Project.

Wasn't the last rework supposed to help him with that though?

If my memory serves me well, that one was intended to address his trading pattern of "once we are trading you better win, for if you don't, I will chain-slow you and kill you while you are trying to run" (AKA the old Phaege dichotomy).

In other words, last rework of Skarner was balance-driven, while the upcoming is strategy-driven.
