The hate on high skill cap champions is quite aggravating.
Yes Yasou annoys us all, but if you aren't diamond + chances are that Yasou is garbage af, same can be said about 99% of Rivens. I LOVE Riven, I have 60k mastery on her and i either feed or do well, im also only Silver 3. (first season ever)
It seems like there is just a war on high mobility champs. My question is, "y tho?"
Riven is one of the hardest champions to play correctly in this game? Along with Yasou. For every good yasou/riven i see there was about 10 horrific ones before them. If you are fighting BoxBox (flosd on twitch) I can see why you would hate Riven, her kit is entirely designed on outplaying.
Personally i find myself more annoyed with champions such as
probably the easiest champion there is, she has no skillshots and can truck adcs for 500 damage Qs at like 1-5/0 kda.
Her ult is a guaranteed kill essentially its her only "skillshot"
Fighting her as melee when she has ult is one of the scariest things there is.
(in lane) How to fight Yasou : dont stand in minion wave for easy dashes, auto attack his shield off, hit him with what you can wait for a jungle rotation since 90% of yasous are aggro mongoloids who over extend. How to fight riven: one of the easiest champions to counter pick imo and guess what? the 3 biggest ones just got buffs. other than that, bait out her e, if she doesnt run, cc and kill. (can still q spam to get away with a w but you should surely win the trade if you pressure her hard enough she doesnt feel safe staying in)
How to fight annie : fucking hide from the insane damage as soon as she buys a single component, farm best you can under turret avoiding her w she is using to clear and watch out for the infinity damage on her Q which she can cast over minions and avoid taking a turret auto on and pray your jungler doesnt run in and explode to tibbers.
btw you don't balance champions for the highest level of play in your game. Balancing champions around less than 1% of the player base is just absurd. Naturally some tweaks need to happen if a champion is performing too well in tournaments. (nidalee) but that shouldn't be the norm.
There should be the typical bans for every elo that vary massively as you move up. That's what balance is.
