Being the better bot lane has barely mattered this entire season

Get dumpstered by enemy bot lane + Your jg and mid camp bot = win lane

Dumpster enemy bot lane + Enemy jg and mid camp you = lose lane

You don't have the agency to decide your own fate in bot. Lane skill has never felt more inconsequential than it has now. I'm I'm the better laner, I should be able to:

  • Shove the lane and pin the enemy bot lane under their tower
  • Shove the lane and place deep wards
  • Take favorable trades to lower the enemy bot lane HP to the point where they can't safely win if jg comes to gank

None of this happens anymore. If you dominate the opposing bot lane, that's just wiped away by repeated ganks. There is no opportunity cost to just sitting on the bot lane with 3 or 4 people.

Like I don't care if I get camped, that's fine. But literally 90% of the time I'm getting camped, both junglers have the same amount of CS and are the same level. Can we please just have a fucking option to punish lane camping? Like what the fuck is macro when it doesn't even matter if you sit on one side of the map for 15 minutes straight?

It matters, but a lot of the hypercarries are located up top.

That's why in solo queue so many junglers this season outright sacrifice botlane to try to get something broken ahead. When it doesn't work while their botlane has been enduring gank after gank, then they start talking about how the better bot lane wins.

Yeah, you should try playing top lane for a change and then tell me whether you appreciate how being the bot lane actually gets shit done.

This kind of mindset has ALWAYS confused me because it never thinks of the flipside, how is it unfair for you to do well but not be able to carry, but fair when it is the opponent is who does well and not able to carry?

The entire premise of this post is that the OP wants to play 2v2 in bot lane for 20 minutes. We saw over and over again in Worlds the dominant bot lane team taking control of river, setting deep wards in the enemy jungle, and even roaming to mid for ganks between waves. That's way more agency than what we saw even 4 or 5 years ago. This is not a 1v1 game. It's not a 2v2 game in bot lane either. Both teams have their win conditions, if the enemy team's win condition happens to be getting their ADC fed or shutting yours down, then they should be rewarded for expending the resources to do so, if they do so successfully.

And by the way, counterjungling aside, if even 1 minute passes by where the jungler is sitting in a bush while his small camps (not even including the buffs) sit there waiting, it is the equivalent of losing TWO waves worth of gold from minions. If the enemy jungler takes those camps, it's even worse. And if they take the camps and leave 1 so the timer doesn't reset, it is a HUGE setback.

Bot lane still has more impact than anywhere else, idk what youre talking about. A duo bot lane has a 71.76% chance to win vs a non-duo bot lane team. Thats a big deal.

That's how it works in every lane atm.

Camps are far too rewarding for how instantaneously they're cleared.

Hell, even if you don't clear them, ganks don't sacrifice anything for the jungler. There's no trade-offs between ganking and farming.

top laners have been saying forever that jungle runs the game. ya'll didn't want to hear it though lol.

Heaven forbid teams do team things in a team game.
